Divided government is not such a bad thing! It restores the Checks and Balances mentioned in the Constitution. A President has to reach out to the opposition Congress and vice versa.

Some of the best Presidents lived with a Congress in the opposition; think of Reagan, Truman. It's forced Presidents to reach across party lines to pass legislation; again, think of Reagan & Tip O'Neil or Clinton & New Gingrich.

As for one party controlling everything, well......Just look at George W. and Jimmy Carter.

Now that democrats will be in Congress with fairly thin margins, we WILL have bipartisanship. Bipartisanship is what has been needed for over a decade. Republicans just want to hog all the power instead of allowing democrats to influence their ideas to make positive changes for our great nation.

Health Minister Ali al-Shemari gave his new estimate of 150,000 to reporters during a visit to Vienna, Austria. He later told The Associated Press that he based the figure on an estimate of 100 bodies per day brought to morgues and hospitals - though such a calculation would come out closer to 130,000 in total.

Hassan Salem, of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, or SCIRI, said the 150,000 figure included civilians, police and the bodies of people who were abducted, later found dead and collected at morgues run by the Health Ministry. SCIRI is Iraq's largest Shiite political organization and holds the largest number of seats in parliament.

In October, the British medical journal The Lancet published a controversial study contending nearly 655,000 Iraqis have died because of the war - a far higher death toll than other estimates. The study, which was dismissed by President Bush and other U.S. officials as not credible, was based on interviews of households and not a body count.

Al-Shemari disputed that figure Thursday.

"Since three and a half years, since the change of the Saddam regime, some people say we have 600,000 are killed. This is an exaggerated number. I think 150 is OK," he said.

Why didn't the Republicans cry like the democrats and claim the election was stolen from them? What is wrong with them? Didn't they learn anything from the Dems in the last 3 elections. Cry,Cry, Cry, and undermine the republic by claiming stolen elections. Man, repubs must be stupid..... or do they actually trust the system of governemnt our founding fathers gave us?

Do the Dems really want bi-partisan governance?

Or will revenge and retribution rule the day?

is respecting our laws, illegals first step entering our country is to blatantly and knowingly disrespect and disregard our laws. Legal applicants are tested on their knowledge of our culture and their mastering of our language, so the next time you see a Mexican who doesnt speak'e no ingles~ "is probably an illegal ALIEN"

...Why does everyone want to live here? We have the death penalty and you have FAR more racial violence in your country, so that leads us to conclude you are far too tolerant and we are doing something really right.

It's actually wonderful to live here and our violent crime rate is it's lowest in history,,,
more than I can say for what's going on over there.......
