I'm glad to see the democrats winning because we need changes. However, do you remember how the news media screwed up with the 2000 election saying that Gore had won? I hope that we don't have any runoffs or chad problems.

I'm worried about what is happening to people. I had read lots of questions and comments about hating to immigrants. Don't do they realize that the US is formed by immigrants since it’s begin? Don't you see that we all are the same? It doesn't matter where are they coming from, we are human beings. We don't have learned anything about our history; we all are a bunch of hypocrites that criticizes discrimination and we are the first to discriminate people. Please be just little coherent with what you think and what you do.

We are leaving the 14th, and have to report to Fort Lewis, WA on the 19th. We are driving there and have a few boxes of household goods that need to be shipped. Can we do this via UPS or something? I wish we had more time to figure this stuff out, but what the heck are we going to do?! We don't have time or money to pay for a mover, and we can't rent a truck or anything. Who should we call, what should we do?! My husband is the one serving in the army.

This was a midterm election. It was not possible to vote for or against Bush. This Administration has been completely out of touch with the American voter from ignoring recovery from Katrina, to denying healthcare to 9/11 rescue workers who became seriously ill, to the ill-advised and horribly prosecuted war in Iraq. Oh,yes, and in case some of you haven't heard, billing terribly wounded soldiers for equipment left in Iraq when they were helicoptered out. Ignoring the needs of the terribly wounded soldiers who are waiting more than a year for a prosthesis. The blunders go on and on and the only way we could make him notice is to vote Democratic this time. Isn't that sad?

What think you?

If you decide to have children then take care of them yourself and dont try to make smokers pay $100 to $200 a month for your responsiblitys. Raise the taxes for people with children. You spend all of your money and so do I. Im tired of paying more in taxes while all of the parents get tax breaks. They use more of the government resource then I do, yet pay less taxes. Prop 86 Imposes additional $2.60 per pack excise tax on cigarettes and indireclty increases taxes on other tobacco products. Provides funding for various health programs, children's health coverage, and tobacco-related programs.

Schwarzenneger won as governor. Again. I'm SO annoyed. Didn't voters learn the first time around that he has no idea what he is doing?! He's an actor, people!! Just because he can act like a governor doesn't mean he'll be a good one for real!! Any other Californians as upset as I am?

I live in alaska with my nephew. His mother is incarcerated in washington for some bad choices years ago. She called our home from jail. The auto voice machine asked if we would accept a collect call from her, to accept press 1. I did so and was immediately sent to some billing company that wanted around 60$ for 15 minutes of phone time. Other than being morally absurd greed on someones part, is this an accepted practice? The place made it seem I woudn't accept the call. I just didn't have the money right now. I'm sure she thinks we just said no, we didn't want to talk to her. Whats up with this?? Is this legal or just another way to extort money from people who are not having the best time in life as it is. When I call Washington, I pay around 8 cents per minute. If she calls it's 3$??

I had a friend who lived with me for several years. He was paying some of the bills (or so I thought) and was supposed to be holding up his responsibiliites. However he moved out all of a sudden last week taking every piece of paper with his name on it that connected him to his part of the house. He has left me with a mortgage that i cannot pay for and the police are telling me that their is nothing they can do because it is considered nothing more than a breach of trust. I am going to lose the house and will have to put it up for rent. Is their anything else I can do to get myself out of this hell that I am now in?

I'm watching the election night celebrations on the news where the candidate comes out and speaks to all their cheering supporters. I was just wondering how you get to attend an event like this. Do you have to receive an invitation, is it open to the general public, etc.?
