I am certainly not a conservative. I am a leftist who has never supported Bush. Hell, even Clinton was too far to the right for me. His support of NAFTA and his lack of an immigration policy was terrible. I am a leftist especially on economic issues. As for the Bush-terrorism question you asked, the issue goes much much deeper than that. I am a political science graduate with an emphasis on international relations. I graduated 10 years ago (good lord, I feel old now!). Anyways, the topic you are discussing has dozens of years of history behind it. The terrorists you are speaking of have existed throughout many American administrations. It has deep roots. They have not necessarily gotten stronger or weaker since Bush's reign. They have simply gotten more attention from the media and have had various successful attacks around the globe. Particularly in Europe and select areas in southeastern Asia. Americans who never paid attention to world issues before got somewhat of an education in this subject. There is still a huge amount of ignorance out there. Folks even to this day believe that Iraq is somehow tied to 9/11. Folks that study history know very well that Saddam Hussein wanted nothing to do with various terrorist groups and actually viewed them as a threat to his power. Unfortunately, our next President could be farther to the left than Castro and we would still have this lingering problem. Also remember this. Clinton knew very well of Bin Laden and his potential to unleash attacks. That is why he launched missles at his camp. As we all know, this attempt was unsuccessful. I actually did a "briefing" on that very subject in my international relations upper level seminar in college in the 90's before most folks had even heard of Bin Laden.

The terrorists hate all Americans. They won't have any trouble finding people to hate when Bush leaves office because they already have them.

Terrorist is a propagandistic term. It needs to be erased from the lexicon forever. The Republican propaganda machines was so supremely effective, that they were able to force a term on the world that was used by Nazis, that was used by an Apartheid Government-South Africa (against native people) and used by Joe McCarthy in the 1950's when he blacklisted and destroyed people's lives.
Bush created "terrorism" on both sides. When he leaves, the air will be out of that evil balloon.

Don,t worry Bush has us so bogged down in Iraq we will constantly be "bringing them on" and this helps the oil Barron's who can justify their oil spikes at the pump...this in a nut shell is the "war on terror"..a total farce in which the unsuspecting die for a lie on both sides of the issue.

Do you actually think it is over when we leave Iraq? Funny the Generals in our military sure don't think so.
