Why in the world would anyone want to raise minimum wage? I have NEVER heard a solid argument about why raising minimum wage is good.

1. I’ll start this one with the gay marriage issue. Ninety percent of Americans are against re-defining marriage to include same-sex partners. By clinging to this issue liberals lose must of their sympathy and even more support, including moderates and independents.

2. (What other mistakes can you come up with? Serious replies only.)

IWhy did you vote Democrat this time and Republican in 2004? It is not like the war suddenly went bad in the last 2 years. The Republican Party did not suddenly abandon thier principles during the last two years. The party did not suddenly become corrupt. Bush did not suddenly become an incomptent leader. What changed you mind?

Hi I have never voted but feel that I DEFINATELY should be voting in the next election! I am confused.... When will we know who will be running for president? Also do you just go with the one you think best or that you feel strongets about... for example my first instinct tells me I'm a democrat.

I think gays should be able to be as miserably married as the rest of us.
I do not think this is a just war.
I am concerned about the environment and global warming all of which are very important to me.

But...

I strongly oppose abortion!!!!!!!!!!

How do you work that out?

If you voted for Arnold this time around you need to have your voting rights revoked b/c you are obviously too stupid to vote.

I feel that congratulations are in order for the majority of US voters, those who voted the republicans out. WELL DONE, maybe soon you will have the opportunity to get rid of Bush.

They were in uproar about Diebold only a day ago and now have no problem with it. I'm not whining about the election, I admit defeat in the house, but stay consistant. If Diebold is rigged, you should be questioning your own win...

In the 19th century, the incessant Westward expansion of the United States incrementally compelled large numbers of Native Americans to resettle further west, often by force, almost always reluctantly. Under President Andrew Jackson, Congress passed the Indian Removal Act of 1830, which authorized the President to conduct treaties to exchange Native American land east of the Mississippi River for lands west of the river. As many as 100,000 Native Americans eventually relocated in the West as a result of this Indian Removal policy. In theory, relocation was supposed to be voluntary (and many Native Americans did remain in the East), but in practice great pressure was put on Native American leaders to sign removal treaties. Arguably the most egregious violation of the stated intention of the removal policy was the Treaty of New Echota, which was signed by a dissident faction of Cherokees, but not the elected leadership. The treaty was brutally enforced by President Martin Van Buren, which resulted in the deaths of an estimated 4,000 Cherokees (mostly from disease) on the Trail of Tears.

Here in Brazil, almost it does not invest in education, because the government knows that the more ignorant the people, less it will go to charge its rights and to question the corruption, this is a situation that reaches most of the Brazilians, but is not all, has some people who want to change this, but still is few. I have 16 years of age, when I to finish the college, I am going for America or for the England, I find that here I do not have more hope.
