i have known as far as the early 60's. Because there were so many here , i thought that they were legal. How could USA have allowed all these years to go by without any consequences. Perhaps Bush was busy reading story books at school again instead of tending to our border security. Alot of you don't realize that in mexican prisons, there are all sorts of people from different nations that are trying to cross the mexican border because it's the easiest way to get in. Even israelis. The mexican border is the easiest place to cross. Now that it's all over the world, guess where the next terrorists will try to enter from. Think about that one.

The separation of church and state is one of the principals our country was founded on. How can anyone oppose this and call themselves an American? I would appreciate rational, thoughtful answers.

He has indirectly killed so many innocent Iraqis and the world court just keeping quiet. If Saddam who was convicted for the murder of 149 Shiites was sentenced to hang, why not Bush who is as atrocious as Saddam?

Some of us take multiculturalism as a way to express the individual and respect other cultures. Others experience the multicultural influence as a bully which forces us to tolerate cultures at the expense of having the opportunity to express our own unless we are to be viewed as arrogant.

Can Americans live progressively with multiculturalism and melting pot ideals, or do we as individuals have to choose what's right for ourselves and just deal with others’ attitudes.

We were lied to when Pres. Bush told us that Iraq had NBC weapons and had ties to Al-Qaida. Yes we have lost almost 3,000 brave men and women and many more wounded. Yes alot of things have gone wrong in iraq that were not predicted. But do you honestly think that once economic sanctions were lifted off of Iraq they would not pursue the weapons we went into to find. Also what would happen if they did develop a nuclear weapon after the sanctions were lifted. Don't you think that having Iraq and Iran as nuclear countries would be a major threat. We would have had to invade one of them sooner or later. Think of all of the people that now know freedom that use to live in fear of Saddams henchman. My cousin who served in iraq for a year told me that watching the Iraqi's go out and brave the threat of car and suicid bombings was something that was remarkable. Thousands of people died under Saddams regime and we did nothing. Innocent people murdered because they wanted to do better.

So you hunt and kill the current regime, then others will follow and others will follow,What is the problem?maybe they are tired of others coming along and stealing their natural resources. If its a question of human rights then why not pay China or Zimbabwe a visit.think about it.

I believe in absolute rule by the government.

The government should bring out every persons potential and raise their level to the highest degree using force if neccessary.

I believe people are generally too stupid to rule themselves and make their own decisions.

What do you guys think??

Such as a Gay or Lesbians that is conservative (Yes there are Gay conservatives, Christians and republicans!!) they believe and are for most of the same beliefs as Conservatives beliefs except for policies against gay marriages. But they decide to keep there lifestyle hidden. But support their party causes anyways.
Should Republicans and Conservatives have a "Conservative Republican Coming Out Day"? either they could Celebrate it 11 October or choose their own day.
Is it time for the GOP to be less repressive on Gays and Lesbians when they are serving in their own ranks? Or are they going to continue being like the military "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

My ex wife has been ordered by the court to refinance our marital home. This has been going on for 1 year, and she has yet to do so, either because the interest rate was too high, or she couldn't afford it. The judge, after giving her numerous continuances and chances to refinance, has finally imposed a $5000 fine on the ex if not refinanced by Nov 30, and $5000 thereafter for every month she does not comply. What comes next. Is this fine really enforceable, and what happens if she does not comply. Thank you

The growth rate of California is a little beyond 2 percent per annum, will it eventually decline over the next couple decades? Most industralized societies have growth rate of below 0.5% or in the negatives. If immigrants don't start choosing a different state to live in, California will soon become as densely populated as Japan.

I've always wondered this. I've heard history documentaries and podcasts explaining different U.S. naval ships and referring to them as females.

For example, someone would say, "The U.S.S. [insert ship name here] went on HER maiden voyage on X year before being decommissioned in XY year" or something to that extent.

Is there a reason that naval warships and aircraft carriers are referred to in the female form?
