Such as a Gay or Lesbians that is conservative (Yes there are Gay conservatives, Christians and republicans!!) they believe and are for most of the same beliefs as Conservatives beliefs except for policies against gay marriages. But they decide to keep there lifestyle hidden. But support their party causes anyways.
Should Republicans and Conservatives have a "Conservative Republican Coming Out Day"? either they could Celebrate it 11 October or choose their own day.
Is it time for the GOP to be less repressive on Gays and Lesbians when they are serving in their own ranks? Or are they going to continue being like the military "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

Foley and Haggard is the reason I am bringing this up. If they weren't so repressed, maybe they could have found a healthier outlet for thier desires.

I think there are a lot of closet homosexuals everywhere. Lets face it, we are nation of bigots. Look how long it took to allow women and blacks to vote. Now we seemed more concerned about who marries whom than protecting the nation from real terrorists.

To be serious, yes I believe that would propably be the case. The GOP would have a lot of trouble not persuing anti-gay or at least extending gay protection, or equality laws because of the Conservative Christian base. The Dems have the same issues with some of there base.

Do you really think widely publicized cases like Foley and Haggard represent all conservatives?

Replace "gays and lesbians" with "terrorists" and "GOP" with "Muslims," and see how ridiculous this question sounds. After all, Bin Laden is a terrorist, and he's Muslim, right?

Come on.

And there are Democrats who are gay but who continue to keep the fact hidden. Remember the Governor of New Jersey?
