We were lied to when Pres. Bush told us that Iraq had NBC weapons and had ties to Al-Qaida. Yes we have lost almost 3,000 brave men and women and many more wounded. Yes alot of things have gone wrong in iraq that were not predicted. But do you honestly think that once economic sanctions were lifted off of Iraq they would not pursue the weapons we went into to find. Also what would happen if they did develop a nuclear weapon after the sanctions were lifted. Don't you think that having Iraq and Iran as nuclear countries would be a major threat. We would have had to invade one of them sooner or later. Think of all of the people that now know freedom that use to live in fear of Saddams henchman. My cousin who served in iraq for a year told me that watching the Iraqi's go out and brave the threat of car and suicid bombings was something that was remarkable. Thousands of people died under Saddams regime and we did nothing. Innocent people murdered because they wanted to do better.

Do you really think that the average american cares about "brown" people dying on the other side of the world? NO! They care about life here. Iraq is going to end up the biggest failure of US policy and military in history. We are just going to have to leave and someone 10x worse than Saddam will take power. So at the end of the day what was the purpose? Oh that right, MONEY! All wars are about MONEY!

We had no choice, Iraq is where Osama first fled to, after the 9/11 devestation, and of course he didnt stay there, but, we had already left a mess, and couldnt leave.

Freedom is bought with a price, this is why we have Militaries, men & women who are willing to fight for their Countries, knowing first hand what the risks are.

The war in Iraq was based on greed. The first thing the Bush government secured in Iraq was the oil. This threatens Iraq's sovereignty to economic freedoms to this natural resource.

It depends on whose perspective you're looking at. For those favored by the dictator, it may or may not be a good thing. For those out of the dictators favor, it's a good thing.

For us American, I guess it depends on your ties to big oil. However, a boost to our economy has small benefits for everyone. Overall, it has no major benefits to the majority of Americans.
