I served our country(1981-1987). I remember being stabbed. I remember the first time I got shot at. Nobody ever forgets that. And I never regretted a moment of it. I did it for EVERYONE. All Americans.

Isn't it about time. ONCE AND FOR ALL. To send a BIG message on election day and vote Republican. John Kerry's statement was an insult to every one of us. And he easily could have just apologized, and claimed he was tired or mis-spoke. HE DID NOT.
Are you pissed at the Democratic party? Are you going to SHOW IT and VOTE REPUBLICAN?

1. Bush's family has been in business with the bin Laden family for decades and the bin Ladens have funded several projects. Why, then, would Osama orchestrate an attack on America while Bush was in office?

2. Why was Building 7 "pulled" when there was no significant damage while the Bank next to the buildings that were hit by the planes remained unharmed?

3. Why was over 100 of bin Laden's family flown out of the country when all air travel had been halted?

4. Why was an insurance of over a billion dollars (he actually tried to seven billion) contract taken out by the owner of the World Trade Towers immediately before they were attacked?

5. Why did the White House inform certain government officials not to fly into New York on 9/11?

By the way, this is all documented. I'm just wondering what everyone thinks. Is it unpatriotic to ask such questions or unpatriotic to ignore them?

Working on a paper, & have my own opinion....curious about what others think. Here's the question:

If Marx knows workers are not legally enslaved, why does he use the metaphor for slavery throughout his work to describe the relationship between capitalist & wage-laborer? Can slavery be abolished by paying workers better wages?

Kerry's latest gaff was an insult thrown at our men and women in the military:

"We're here to talk about education. But I want to say something before that....You know, education, if you make the most of it and you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, ah.. you .. you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

He's an elitist rich boy, educated at private schools, and Yale university. Married into one of the richest families in America -- who has NO clue about middle America life.

He always promotes himself as a veteran, and yet John Kerry's service in Vietnam lasted 4 months and 12 days, beginning in November 1968 until he requested a transfer out of Vietnam on March 17, 1969, citing Navy instruction 1300.39 permitting personnel with three Purple Hearts to request reassignment. Kerry is the only Swift sailor ever to leave Vietnam with less than 12 months of service.

With quotes like this - is he stupid or what??

It shocks me how many posts I have seen this morning basically trying to valid the statements made by John Kerry by saying that it is true that the military is uneducated. These are the same people who have been claiming they support the troops. Are they showing their true stripes regarding their real opinions of the military with these posts? I fully expected liberals to side with John Kerry in not apologizing because this is standard operating procedure when one of their own makes a mistake, but the utter disrespect of the military intelligence level is just staggering. There is vast gulf of difference between opposition to the war and denigrating the fine men and women serving our country honorably.

This question does not regard John Kerry and his comments directly. If you wish to post on that I have another open question on that issue.

A lot of people say that smokers can smoke in their private home but not in a bar. Aren't bars private property? How do you justify voting to determine policy in a private bar? Are we smarter than business owners? Do patrons really have a right to expect a private estabolishment to cater to their comfort beyond what is on the menu?

Why are innocent non smokers being 'forced' into such places to breathe the air? That is what should be illegal. Why aren't THOSE charges being investigated.

There is an ever increasing global population but most of us continue to do or put up with a lot we do not like because a few legislate and regulate our lives for us.

I do not condon anarchy, my own view is that most of us lack the balls to stand up for what we want and there is a huge dose of apathy affecting us. What is your take on the situation?

By now, I'm sure many of you have heard that many of the Diebold voting machines can be easily hacked by people with the right knowledge. This matter should concern both liberals and conservatives alike, because anyone could potentially corrupt the system for either side. If you don't know about this already, take a look at the video below. The study has been featured on both CNN and Fox News as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WMG34cv0zM

What do you think? Should the good old paper ballots be resurrected? Or is there an alternative? Can/Should people demand a less vulnerable machine?
