No, this law is not still on the books in Alabama. It was removed in the year 2000 (I believe, although it might have been 1999). A mere 30+ years after the Supreme Court declared these laws unconstitutional. But just because the law was still technically on the books that doesn’t mean that interracial couples were denied the right to marry, because it had been declared unconstitutional, it just hadn’t been removed from the books yet.

NO, it is possible there is some old law still on the books but under the United State Supreme Court ruling in Loving v. Virginia it is not illegal anywhere in the United States to marry outside of your race and the US Supreme Court trumps any old law that might still be on the books in Alabama or any other State.

No, and all these stereotypes about Alabama are ridiculous. It doesnt matter what race you marry. Now, the old folks here, tend to frown upon it cuz they remember the bad times. But as far as being accepted by everyone else. No problem.
