These are things that totalitarian governments do and Liberals want them all.
Bush(following in Clinton's footsteps)okays warentless wiretapping and all of the sudden he is a fascist and labeled a totalitarian dictator.

Because the path to power lies in the ability to claim that THEY did it, not some hayseed republican.
You'd think they'd love 'No Child Left Behind' (massive federal govt intrusion in education) and the medicare/medicaid overhaul (one multi-billion dollar step closer to socialized healthcare).
Both detestable programs grew government exponentially and are clearly load-bearing planks in the socialist platform.
The sad truth is that, like anyone with the mentality of a 5-year old, they don't want the program for the program's sake, they want the CREDIT.

The reason you don't understand Liberal reasoning is because their reasoning is not logical, just emotional. Liberals operate on an emotional level. They want everything to be peachy. The problem is, they totally avoid the fact that there are some real bad things in this world. Instead of thinking logically about how to solve these terrible things, they just want to ignore them and allow the Government to take the place of Deity, fixing everything, all the time.
