I was told disrupting those with whom they disagree is exclusively a liberal tactic and I have been unable to think of an instance where conservatives used this. Why is this?

Does disrupting a presentation deprive the speaker of his right to be heard or is it simply an excercise of political strength?

I think that although many Americans claim they love freedom in this country, they really do not. In fact, if they had their way, many people wouldn't be "free" to do many things they are allowed to do now. E.g. abortion on demand. I believe anti-abortionists would not allow abortions to happen and that, if they could, would actually force women who don't want to have babies, to have their baby. Another one is: because of 9-11 many people's patriotism comes into question. Some say if you do not like U.S. policies, or the president, or anything the gov't does, leave the country. This is patriotism, but a very ignorant form of nationalism, and if left unnoticed can grow to fascism.

Obviously this is not in regard to someone who does not make the physical or mental qualification, i.e. pass the PFT. But is in regard to secondary variables.

For example: corrective eyewear, previous injury (surgery for example), medications taken, etc.

I still see people with 'veterans support Kerry' or 'W 04'. The election is over. We are now looking to the future.

So does anybody else think these people should have to serve community service if they have old political stickers 1 year after the election?

As a congressman, I seem poised to lose this November.
I still have a chance to approve a chemical plant in my district.
It's way under environmental health code. It will probably ruin the wildlife for miles around for the next 30 years and destroy the health of the citizens of the local town for the next 2 generations.
But someone has offered me $150 000 to approve the permit without going through the normal channels.
What should I do?

-Should I spend my money on making a come-back in 2010, or get out of this game and buy a yatch?

People are saying the new lower gas prices will help the Republicans. The Republicans sure helped the gas prices, so it's only fair! Remember, gas prices are still 50-75% higher than they were when voters (or the Supreme Court) put two Oil Executives into the White House.

Bush/Cheney have been the best thing to happen to oil companies since the "oil shortage" of the early 70's. Under their administration, oil company profits have shattered all previous records. On top of that, their taxes on those profits have been cut by billions of dollars by this administration, making them even more money. Oil companies would love to keep Republicans in power.

Do you think it is a coincidence that gasoline prices conveniently fell just weeks before the election?

Do you really believe they will stay "low" after the election is over, especially if Republicans still control the Senate and Congress?

Guess they think we're all pretty stupid. I sure hope they're not right. Your thoughts?

Spanish is forced down our throats on packages of anything we buy. We are constantly being given a choice of Spanish or English even when we call our own government offices ! If a group of Mexicans ask for something, the Dems jump to give it to them so they can add another group of people to their voting base.

Whoever heard of Cinquo-de-Mayo before 5 years ago? How many hospitals are going bankrupt on the border because of free medical care being given to people who do not have health insurance, nor any way to pay, yet intentionally cross the border for good American care at Americans' expense? The ACLU even wants to sue the American and Arizona governments because several illegals from Mexico tried to cross the desert into this country without water and died !!! Since Arizona does not have water taps and faucets every few feet throughout the desert, the ACLU said they were negilgent and contributed to these peoples' deaths.

Legals and illegals here, write home, tell families how the Americans give them everything they want or need AND they can sue people if it is not given to them.

No wonder we have an immigration crisis.
