I get where Tony is coming from. Places like FL,CA and states that border on Mexico have been inundated with Hispanic immigrants. We were told as Americans that we have had to learn Spanish and choosing not to wasn't an option. That pisses me off.I learned it and speak it but I don't consider it fair when there's several other interesting languages that we could have been taught. One of the big reasons that I home school my kids is that I can teach them whatever languange that I want to. So guess what, we're studying Italian. Why? Because we're NOT Hispanic and studying Spanish should not be forced down anyones throats just because of an influx of immigrants in an area.Theres plenty of places to learn English for free including the library which offers free tutoring to immigrants. There's no excuse to not learn English.I don't think Tony is being racist he's probably just a little frustrated like the rest of us with what seems to be the loss of our country to a large foreign factor.

There are many LEGAL immigrants or Spanish decent living in America. English is not a language that can be picked up in 5 minutes or even 1 year, especially for adults because the part of the brain that learns language gets smaller as people age. How are they supposed to adjust to America if they don't have anyone to aid them?
I'm completely against the illegal immigrants but I think you're going too far in your rant.

There are legitimate issues that need to be resolved surrounding our immigration problems. They won't be fixed by attacking your opposition in this manner.
You might be surprised to find that you share more things in common with the "libs" than you think. You just need to take the time to talk to them in a civil fashion, instead of just going off on a diatribe. I really don't see how seeing a few words of Spanish can set someone off the way it appears to have upset you, but I'd love to understand it, so our country can find some common ground to resolve the issue, instead of just fighting about it.

Dude, you for real need to get a life than harp on Mexicans. They just want a better life than what they want in Mexico. If you saw all the crap that they have to endure there in Mexico, you wouldn't say half of what you did. The water is so poluted, that even the animals refuse to drink it. I've been there, and I've seen how they live, even on the rich side of the country. Not to mention that they are some of the hardest workers in this country. Even if they don't make much, they make what they can to support themselves and their family. I see nothing wrong with that. If you think about it, we are mostly descendents of illegal immigrants. DUH!! Grow up and think before you write.

You know I have never understood the protests by illegals. If you are trying to convince us why you should stay why would you try to let us experience life without you. True, if it works it would achieve it's full effects. However, if life goes on, as it did during many of the protests, you're only convincing the country that it could actually do without you.

Amen! We have 16% Hispanic in our county who use 86% of our county health care. I can speak Spanish but refuse to, if you live in America you speak English. If I moved to France, I would expect to have to speak French.
Too much money going to a small & illegal group of people.
Our state will have 8 Million Dollars go back to Mexico - they live off our resources & send their money home.
