Of course it does. The problem is political correctness. It causes all kind of insanity.

Racial profiling does not make sense because you can't tell if someone is going to break the law just by looking at them. Muslims can be from any race.
It's a shame that innocent people have to queue up uncomfortably but that's the most efficient way to ensure security. People do not turn all nice and innocent just because they reach retirement age. Anyone is capable of anything no matter what age they are.

Yes, people in general tend to moan about the queues for airport security, profiling would make this process a lot quicker, therefore, even those being profiled would catch their flight on time and have time to go Duty Free shopping (no liquids though). It could become anoying I know, but if you have nothing to hide and cooperate fully, you will be out before you know it.

Yes it does. If a person appears to belong to a race group which is responsible for acts of terrorism, then they must accept that there will be stop and search etc. All of us are involved anyway, no matter what race we are. If the police want to check my bag in the street, no problem, just beware of mouse traps is all.

I work at an airport. I'd like to know that every person has been checked, your baby to your grandma. Someone elderly can't see or hear as well. A terrorist could more easily slip something into their bag, and it would make them a huge target for that. Plus someone doesn't become innocent just because they're older.

Of course it makes sense, it's all about who is more likely to commit an act of terrorism. Any one could of course - but given recent events it is more likely to be someone who meets a certain profile. No different to when the IRA was at its height, white Catholics with Irish accents would fit the likely profile not Muslims or Jews for example. Its about using all available measures to protect every-ones safety, whatever race or religion.

probably for the same reasons that babies are checked over because if someone is going to smuggle something (a suicide bomber for example) they would use a carrier that wont be suspected.
It has been reported that drugs have been carried in ababies nappies so why cant an elderly peropn be used in same way. its nothing to do with race but SAFETY.
If they were not to check and something happened then who would get the blame?

It does make sense but it won't happen, at least not officially, because government is too politically correct to face the fact that while all Muslims aren't terrorists, most terrorists are Muslim.

Because muslim radicals come from all sections of society - young and old. I would rather people queue in the airport than see aeroplanes used as weapons!!
