Why is killing someone because you're depressed less bad than killing someone because you're psychotic?

Is a community sentence sufficient punishment for killing your own child?

Thanks in advance. Needless to say, 10 points to best answer!

My company has made a new employment contract that states, if we are terminated for any reason, we can't work anywhere in the field of metal-finishing for 18 months. This basically leaves the majority of us with no viable employment options in our field of education or experience. We're not sure if we should sign this, but the employer says sign or you can't work here. Can they do this??

The old African American who hit the car in the front claimed that he and his grandson riding in the front seat got hurt and that the car was damaged. The pictures of the car showed damage on the front fenders completely unrelated to the accident. But the insurance company paid the man $10000 in damages and filed a law suit against the defendant insured. The judge ok'd the deal. Fair?

On this link it says Crime Scene Unit. Does anyone know how I could get a job in the NYPD Crime Scene Unit? Because it is under the "Detective" Bureau, does that mean I have to become a detective first or something? I don't get it!

In other words, if raising taxes will eventually increase the deficit, it is a bad thing. But what if you lower taxes AND increase the deficit? Does stimulating the economy really do anything, except pay off your out of control spending? Bush, I'm looking in your direction...

I do not believe that congress should have a blank check and increase their own pay. I do believe that 'we the people' should be the ones to increase their wages for a job well done IF it is 'well done'.

In protest to the Vietnam War, student activists were killed by national guardsman in Ohio. As a historian of the VN war, and teenage combat of another unpopular war, I am seeing a repeat of the same mistakes made during that era in the Iraq conflict. Is the majority of the US public going to stand-by and watch these tragic occurences happen again? Are we going to allow Republican zealots driven by inflated ego's and personal agenda's to destroy this country? (often, they hide behind the Christian religion only seeking personal wealth) Like VN, US involvement in Iraq and Pakistan is a mistake and soon another embarrasment. How many more LIES from the Bush administration will be believed before the largely Republican, Christian, ignorant, and Redneck American public realize the truth! How much more Bush "cannon fodder", women and children must die? Would Bush send his daughters to Iraq?

We need to avoid another Kent State!

Stop the War!

Impeach Bush NOW!

Engineering and Science subjects have been declining in schools, colleges and universities for many years with fewer students being attracted into these career paths - as such our UK engineering and scientific base is being eroded. The UK Gov't appears not to care as within its own ranks Engineers and Scientists are not valued as highly as Administrators, Lawyers and Accountants.
