Democrats are a slave to the teacher's unions who, amazingly, are out for themselves. Standards have been dumbed down and a good number of public schools are despicable.

A school that practices discipline can succeed very well with 35 kids in the class. The breakdown of societal values is primarily to blame for the mess we are in. Permissive parents are a scourge and their kids are undisciplined and disrespectful brats who tend to run the classroom. Teachers need to take back the classroom and principals must encourage it. No more coddling. Catholic schools have been doing it for much less $ and producing good students for decades, so it is time to wise up and stop wasting our taxpayer dollars.

I would like to see today's students take the tests that were administered 35 years ago and see how they compare to times when education was much cheaper and classes much larger.

I don't think the overwhelming majority of today's kids would do too well, whether they take "AP" courses, or not. Parents need to start acting like parents and schools need to instill a greater sense of order and discipline.

Education has taken a turn down instead of improved. If you compare our kids to other modern countries, we lag way behind in foreign language, science, and medicine.

It used to be that if you didn't make the grade in school, you were held back a year and repeated that grade. Some where along the way, someone came up with the idea that it bruised the child's spirit and made them feel less than normal, so, we now pass kids on thru school and when they get out, they don't know nothing.

Education is the key to success and by passing all these people who are not learning, well, the liberals will have fun cause they will have to have a welfare system to support all these people cause they cant think or do for themselves.
