Many go from highschool to college and learn writing and debating skills w/o first having a variety of life experiences.
When they graduate do they go on making convincing arguments for emotionally immature positions?

I'm convinced that many of these Liberal
s are skilled in speech, yet their values don't come from observing the real world.
Most believe our country is filled w/ people who are innocent victems of poverty.

I can almost guarantee that anyone who develops new skills, educates himself, and has a good work ethic will not be poor.

Many Libs. beleive that if we just talk nice and look w/ kindness at the point of those who are opposing us, every thing will turn out fine for us.
These might be the same guys who were getting wedgys in the highschool gym.

Sunshine--- of course they're not always wrong, but so many of their values seem to be based on feelings, and idealistic notions.
They seem to be suggestig that you can deal w/ bullies & terrorist by just being nice to them.
They should have learned at an early age that you can't appease bullies w/ talk of peace, love and flowers.
Also Libs. thik there's nothing wrong w/ playing Robin Hood and giving away other people's money.

What's worse is that so many of these Robin Hoods jump right into line to collect some of those benefits they helped to steal fom others. Many are addicted to welfare.

Farkas--- What's the difference between Libs. and far left?

2006-10-23 08:51:00 · update #6

I've had a very up & down life , and have seen for myself how exagerated is the Lib's.idea of the nobility of the "honest, hard working, poor".
Also,I've seen that being rich is not synonymous w/ evil or greedy as Libs. like to claim.
Libs. would almost make you afraid of entering a posh neighborhood.

Yes we are. And you bet it causes harm to our country. It's clearly obvious, the number of college age and young adults on here, Yahoo/ Answers. Never before in our history, has there been so much misinformed HATRED. No one taught hatred when I went to school. NO ONE. We were taught facts, and learned how to REASON out , that which we didn't understand. Not to blatantly display PURE HATRED and SCORN. I will add that my generation did not have the internet, blogs, etc. etc. This has also made it more difficult for young people to really tell the difference between TRUTH and HATE FICTION.

EDIT* - Glovzz and Farkas have excellent points as well.

Edit* - C=JD, see below, is on the RIGHT page as well.

Good question, though it could have been presented better.
First of all, no, liberals do not harm our country.
What DOES harm our country is the indoctrinated far-left sheep (they're just as bad as the far-right!).
As for me, I've beaten many of those "oh-so-smart" far-left radicals in debate so many times it's not even funny. They quote their little opinions and propaganda, and I dazzle them with facts and common sense.
Personally, I feel that common sense is a lot more important than a "book" education, although I prefer to have both. I love to read, and learn new things.
I just find that most of the kids who are straight out of college have no common sense. That's my experience. I prefer to learn OUT of the classroom. I don't need a professor to tell me how to think!

Far-left is people like Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan. Most liberals are FAR more moderate than that. Is every conservative like Rush Limbaugh? No? Didn't think so.

People tend to be liberal when young and conservative when aged.

No, it's not harming our country it's normal. Tienemen Square (sp) was a movement for political change by students. Students were protesting poor treatment of blacks in the 60's and 70's.

Sure, the student's aren't always right but doesn't mean that they're always wrong. Open your mind.

It is a well known fact that universities are indoctrination centers for the tenets of liberalism. Many professors across America are under the illusion that simply because they were hired to teach biology doesn't mean they can't spend most of class time telling us how terrible Bush is. Their students often learn little except -- you guessed it -- liberal politics.

What are you talking about? What makes you think liberals have the corners on emotionally immature? Most Republicans I know are like that anyway, with or without a college education. They just adopt mommy and daddy's views as their own.

I think that's what colleges are attempting to do, but what they forget is that young people in America tend to rebel AGAINST what they have been taught and think outside the box. So... this agenda might backfire on them.

Emotionally immature positions?

By that I take it you mean positions that disagree with yours?
