It's not as if the Democrats could do a worst job than the mess left by Bush and his cronies.

Some answered my previous question with a great reply; "If they cant do the time - dont do the crime"
meaning, prisioners should be provided with basic facilities (ie. no television, pot plants, etc), basic food, bread, water! Not making a prision a holiday camp can surely only be beneficial to the deterrent of criminals contemplating committing a crime?
Also prisioners should serve the whole sentence issued to them by the court of law, no time off for good behaviour!

what are the similarities and differences between christian fundementalism in the USA and islamic anti american thought in the middle east. I want serious though out answers not just hate speeches, if anyone comes up with outrageous comments ill delete them! I ask because as a brit i watch american television and Im genuiely surprised at how much rhetoric and opinion is presented and it seemed similar to the kind of religious inspired monologues from middle east networks. Im not suggesting that america are as bad as terrorists or anything stupid like that but i do want a lively discussion. so go for it guys!

The FDA declared GE foods to be safe in the face of broad disagreement from its own experts -- all the while claiming an overwhelming scientific consensus supported its stance.

Evidence shows the agency flagrantly violates the U.S. Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, which mandates that new food additives be demonstrated safe through testing before they are marketed. While the FDA admits that bioengineered organisms fall under this provision, it claims they are exempt from testing because they are "generally recognized as safe", even though their own scientists disagree.

Every genetically engineered food in the U.S. is on the market illegally and should be recalled for rigorous safety testing. The FDA has deliberately unleashed a host of potentially harmful foods onto American dinner tables in blatant violation of U.S. law. AND YOU DONT GET TO KNOW WHICH FOODS THEY ARE.

Ok, it seems like a good idea, get the African people to build prisions, provide jobs for the prisons and our goverment would pay for that! Solving some problems in Africa and in our own country too, but what cons/problems could we expect from such a radical change of sentencing?

Surely, there is a way that Americans can vote on issues, and truly run this country by what "Americans" want collectively, and not what a senator wants because they got money from a big company. We can have voting machines like ATM's, we wouldn't have to pay high salaries for congree and the senate. Also,Why have the electoral college at all when we can one day just vote for presidency in our living rooms? Points to ponder.

that is what will soon be suggested, I think its outrageous, any entity that can't survive on its own merit deserves to die off.

Weren't we taught survival of the fittest? it must apply to all things or its a lie.
