No...but my area isn't too bad...I do fight back tho..the police like all emergency services are stretched to their limit and understaffed..so its up to the ordinary man/woman in the street to keep un-ruly teenagers in their place...this is my country I have worked all my life and no punk will intimidate me...

No, but yeah but, no but

On a serious note, teenagers r gettin worse, bring back some proper punishment. In our day( and im only 33 ) we got a good hiding for bad behaviour. Was there any asbo's then, not a single one. The very minute it became improper and illegal to smack, in order to educate and disipline, the whole of the teenage world thought, right, lets give em hell. And hell it is. With no proper punishment, you will never change things back. In france the kids do exactly what there told, instantly. Because if they dont, they kop it. I remember those days. At school the only kids to play up, were the ones who didnt have a proper father figure to teach them respect, A word never used to describe todays teenagers.

There are some however who do know right from wrong, And its up to us to make sure these stand out from the rest. Because we are now getting to a point, where we label all of them the same. And thats not something i was taught to do,

As for doing anything about it. Thats up to us all, when we bring up our kids, we gotta remember how our parents brought us up

No not where I live but I know in the nearby towns some of the teenagers and people in their early 20's are a real pain.
I did report someone for smashing the window of my car that was parked out side a friends house on an estate, and I would report again.
If we keep on at the police they will have to do something, at the end of the day they are providing a service. Failing that the Government who are also paid by us to provide a service. Alot of the teenagers are bored etc.

The teenagers in my area are quite intimidating, however I have found they look scarier than they actually are. I strongly believe in social responsibility and all these people who complain about the world and do nothing are hypocrites. If, for example, the teenagers are making a lot of noise, I ask them to keep it down. They are normally sorry, and did not know they were causing a disturbance. There is not a lot of things for teenagers to do. They are to old for the swings and to young for the pub. They need more places they can go and connect with adults.

In answer to your question, yes it can affect quality of life, but only if you let it. I have tackled noises, fire starting, littering and general pests, but most of them have been apologetic and have not tried to intimidate me. I know some areas are really bad, but teenagers are human beings and more often than not I think they are pre-judged because of their age and dress sense.

Thanks for asking such a great question .
We all are social animals & what separates us from animals is our manners. If all people in the society follow general manners & care for one another, it becomes a pleasant experience else there is hardly any difference between animal kingdom & ours !
However, human being is not perfect, and at some moment or other we behave in an irrational manner. Whenever this happens, it creates inconvenience to others as well as leads us to dirt.
In this light, all the places are having good as well as bad elements in the society.
The positive thing is , we all Yahooligans can do something to improve our respective societies be being well mannered ourselves & inspiring others to do so.
I promise to start this from today . I am sure all Yahooligans friends would also join the cam[paign for this noble cause .
All the best !!!!

No. A lot of teenagers in my area are badly behaved but just because they are doesn't make me scared of them. I'm not concerned about their lives, they do what they want to do. I'll worry about my own.

Actually, with a couple of exceptions the teenagers in my area aren't too bad. They generally keep to themselves. The 20-something crowd tend to be a lot louder and get into fights more often.

Yes i'm bloody scared of them. I watched in horror while my friend's nose got bashed in with a motorbike helmet, just because he looked at the guy wrong. Please note, this was on a packed night bus, and no one else did anything about it.

Plus the other day i was walking past 8 teenage girls and my foot got spat on by one of them. I know this cause she tried twice, first time she missed. If she had been alone i would have thumped her one, but she had 7 other very big girls with her.

I am always scared of any criminal, irrespective of age. Badly behaved teenagers are criminals and should be treated accordingly. Well behaved teenagers are a credit to society and should be acknowleded as so. I intend to bring up my children to be such a credit.

No, 99% of the teens in my area behave very well. Just normal teen acting up, the other 1% are quickly arrested, and thrown in jail.
