Ok, it seems like a good idea, get the African people to build prisions, provide jobs for the prisons and our goverment would pay for that! Solving some problems in Africa and in our own country too, but what cons/problems could we expect from such a radical change of sentencing?

Harsh punishments for harsh criminals.

A prison in a middle geographical part of Africa that is a international prison sent there by the criminals country. Unfortunately a prison like that would cost millions for upkeep but all nations flipping the bill.

On the humerus side...all the flies in the world hopefully would follow. Most of them are there anyway. The fly swatter companies that produce the swatters have their minds and massive computers clicking about all the international funds they are being paid.

One fly swatter for every inmate once a week. You do the math.

Transport would cost too much, it would be way too much of a logistics nightmare for both parties and of course it would create new bureaucracies.

No. -- I say review the law, get rid of the fat and punish the real criminals.

Law should not have to be dreamt up, it should be a logical solution to a problem. -- Today we have laws that were simply made up.

Counterfeiting for instance, it is wrong because it inflates the money supply correct? --- Well then, why are the central banks not all in prison? Cause what they are doing amounts to nothing more then legal counterfeiting.

Why burden Africa they have enough problems with corrupt governments & although in some places the prison situation works, those countries that rely on tourism would suddenly find no one will visit them,no Africa isn`t the solution the solution is in our own backyard & we or a strong government has to deal with it,that`s if we ever get one.

If we could sentence them for at least Eleven years of imprisonment in Africa i would be all for that, as their passports would run out after Ten years and hopefully they won't be able to come back to Britain! Though is it fair to give the poor Africans our trash? Siberia would be a better place!

I don't know about Africa, but my plan is we should exchange criminals for illegal immigrants. One mexican for one criminal. A productive member of society for a useless one. Mexico has so many criminals they would not notice and the drug lords would kill them if they try to get in on the drug trade. Problem solved.

it's a good idea in theory, but who would end up footing the bill for the factor fifty sunscreen, muggins here along with the rest of the tax payers. imagine a con on a very long sentence ie murder coming back to the uk after his sentence, you'd be able to say "you look well on it"

Ya know, don't ya, that the UK transported convicts to Virginia and to Australia for many years but that doing so never succeeded in reducing crime in the UK? It's like me dear departed ancestor from County Tyrone said - y'can't keep a good ol' Mick down!
Say, if you're as cute as your atavar, come let me practice me blarney on ye, me lovely colleen!

There's enough criminals in Africa already. We should deal with our own problems not ship them off to be somebody else's burden!!!

I think this wouldn't work and would be putting more strain on African countries. Also why should they have to house our prisoners? That sounds very imperialistic.
