Why do things like this happen? Its crazy! Why would this happen? Decent people wanting to adopt are turned away, simply because they may have done something (not child abuse related) in their past, something very very minor, otherwise they would be suitable candidates! The whole system needs to be reviewed and altered!

There are honourable solicitors and others who for some reason seem to operate so unreasonably. It is accepted that all Defendants should be able to defend themselves against any allegation and of course the idea of appointing a solicitor, is intended to ensure the case is conducted fairly. That is why some of these apparent unworthy alleged offenders are afforded Legal Aid. I wonder if certain Solicitors would take up many of these undesirable cases for the sake of just upholding the Law on principal. Possibly not too many but I am sure there are many more Honourable solicitors than not. Defending the worst of society is not easy but at the end of day the pay must be good because of the insistence of entering a NOT Guilty plea obviously prolongs the case - and pay per day cannot be bad. !
