how would the earth be like?

Hmm, the edges would be like ever increasing mountains, and the middle would be a pit... without it actually being physically anything like it.

I think this would lead to having the main population center in the middle, as transportation generally downhill would be easier. The sides of the cubes could quite possibly be mono-ethnic, as it is quite possible that there wouldn't be enough air in the edges to cross over.

Although, now when I think of it, the seas would also be oriented in the middle. Hmm.
