For who should I inform about child abuse ?

I agree with the above, although Social Services aren't the only option.
You can contact the police on the Force Enquiries number, They can contact Social Services for you.
or through the local child protection Unit (now called Safeguarding units).
You can also phone or email Crimestoppers.
Or even contact your local family support unit.

Be sure to only recall fact not opinion or hearsay. (you dont know for sure the child is spanked everyday unless you witness it.)

Then Social Services will make a visit(if they feel the child is in danger) and can arrange some Family Support.

call the department of social services , they are required to check every complaint and if they dont come right away call again,you might save that little childs life, there may be a different number for child protective services ,call the law enforcement agency in your city and they can advise you who to call,they should also go out and check it out. This is criminal for the parent s to behave in this way and you have to turn them in.Make sure the police know that baby is alone and this isnt the first time,record times baby is alone if you can.

Before you do anything make sure in your own mind that there is abuse, I am not a specialist but a child crying does not necessarily mean it is being abused, and you said " probably " being spanked, you are not sure, I do not in any way condone any one hurting a child, but be sure first, it is a very strong accusation to make and can get quickly get out of hand these days.

We adopted my beautiful daughter last year. Her birth mother fed her very little during her first two weeks of life and neglected her basic needs. She finally abandoned her when she was 14 days old. Are you sure this baby is spanked ? If i can say you have asked some very strange questions in the past!!!! If you suspect child abuse in any way shape or form then this must be reported of course surely it is not hard to find the right source to report this. Please be sure of your investigations as this could cause a lot of upset . If your question is out of true worry and concerm then you must act NOW.

If the child is left alone at all you should call the police and the childrens services board!! No child should be left alone ever.
