the UN partitioned Palestine into Israel and Palestine because England wanted to get rid of their last 'colony' and the US and Europe felt sympathy for the Holacaust. This act was contrary to the desires of the residents (they could have called a referendum but did not since it was a majority Arab country) and the Arab neighbors have objected ever since. Arabs and Jews lived together in Palestine for 2000 years but the fighting only started in 1948. The PLO and Hasballah resort to throwing rocks and suicide bombs because that is all they have and the Israelis have a massive army given them by the US over many years. So we are joined at the hip with Israel and a rallying point for discontented muslems around the world. I think the solution to the terrorist problem is to cut off all military and other aid to Israel and support the Palestinians. A more devious step would be to accidentally blow up the Israeli nucear bomb facility- this negates Iran's need for a bomb.

I fear that premature troop withdrawal will only make things worse for all parties involved. Comments on this?

I just read a question from a Republican taking aim at "liberals." This sickens me. Did our current President divide us this way or is it the media? Did talk radio - TV - marketing - ratings - create a verbal war to gain listeners? Are WE ALL being manipulated for ratings? Why does one side hate the other so much?
Is it G. Bush? Is it real? Or have we been played with?

One night this week I was at my boyfriends house. His sisters boyfriend pulled in the driveway, and she had told us that he was talking crap about me. So I go outside to confront him about this, and I tapped on his Jeep window and asked him to unzip them. He did and I asked him why he was running his mouth, and he started to zip them back up. So I tapped them again and told him I wasn't done talking yet. He then reverses and hits me with the mirror. So I bent down and picked up some pea sized gravel mixed with mud and threw them at his jeep. He then put it in drive and burned out up over the sidewalk where I was, almost hitting me again. He called the cops and they told him he wasn't allowed on the property anymore. I was just going to let it go, but then I found out he is getting a restraining order on me, and possibly my boyfriend. How long do I have to press charges for hitting me with his car? Are the police allowed to serve the restraining order at my work? I live in Ohio.

or maybe they would even cause one like the abortion clinic bombings? They have done it before. How long would it be before the Republicans tortured Americans if they were allowed to stay in office?

I've been thinking much lately about how our "FREE" country isn't so free anymore. I don't mind many of the rules that are put upon us but, some do. And it is frightening how the Government of our country is slowly but surely taking away most of our rights and freedoms as citizens. We are fighting a war and helping other countries gain freedom while ours is slowly being taken away. Am I nuts are do others see the slow process we are going through and does anyone picture the end result? Have any others really thought about the changes our country is going through?

Bombs, fires, Emergency Personnel Everywhere, dead friends, dead relatives, chaos and some amount of panic, sheer terror for others, PEOPLE CRYING EVERYWHERE. . . .. . .Would you then become more firm about eradicating TERRORISM ?? I realize 'eradicate' is wishful thinking, but your family and/or friends have just been killed by the TERRORISTS ?? How pissed will you be then ?? What about those of you that currently somehow believe 9/11 was Bush's Plan, or those of you who think the TERRORIST THREAT is over-rated? Take a deep breath and THINK ABOUT IT

I'd like to hear your opinion...AFTER giving it HONEST thought...I didn't even take it a step further and bring up the possibility that the attack might be a small scale nuke or dirty-bomb, I don't think hardly anybody would know what to do then. The streets would be impassable, whether from debris or survivors, if there were any.

It worked against Japan. Do you think we could stop a long term war and make the insurgents surrender if we used a tactical nuke on them? I wouldnt ever want to see nukes used again ever but I am asking a hypothetical question.
