Now that the inquest has found the American soldiers guilty of the unlawful killing journalist Terry Lloyd and his interpreter, should the guilty soldiers not be identified and punished?

The argument against this, and the argument the US government also uses for refusing to join the International Courts and Tribunals, is that it undermines the US troops. It is asserted that the army needs to have 100% conviction and that they couldn’t operate effectively in the knowledge that their actions are being scrutinised and that they could be held accountable for any mistake.

Others would argue that it undermines the entire operation in Iraq if the ‘liberating’ forces act beyond the reach of war crimes tribunals, are allowed to fire on retreating injured civilians and shoot journalists dead, found guilty of unlawful killing and yet remain completely free of legal retribution.

What should be done?

Why is it the conservatives call abortionists 'murderers' when those same conservatives support an unjustified war that kills innocent civilians and our military personel??

Why is it that when all those Americans died on 9/11 the country called it a terrible act of war (and it was a terrible act of war, no doubt), but when our military kills Iraqi, Afghan, and in one instance Pakistani civilians in the pursuit of terrorists, it is passed off as merely a reality of war? Are we not as accountable for the wrongful deaths of others as the terrorists are???

http://exposethemall2.blogspot.com/2006/10/george-w-bush-thinks-christians-are.html

David Kuo, the former deputy director of the White House office of faith-based initiatives, implies that George W. Bush is not fond of Christians. He maintains in his new book, Tempting Faith, that Bush and those around him regularly mock and make fun of Christians, especially Evangelicals. For example, he quotes Karl Rove as saying Evangelicals are "nuts." It was quite common, according to Kuo, for Bush and those around him to look upon Christians as useful idiots.

I really need help. If a final judgment states that I have to pay half of all "past due, non-covered medical expenses for the minor child" does that mean:
1. I have to pay half of all the co-pays for doctor's visits since my child was born?
2. I have to pay for half of her prental and delivery charges paid to her ob/gyn?

Two super-sized adult male U.S. Secret Service (“S.S.”) agents banged on the front door at 14-year-old Julia Wilson’s home last Thursday during school hours, but Julia wasn’t home. Predictably (except to the S.S. agents), the straight-A student was in her microbiology class at school.

But Julia’s mother, Kirstie, was home. When she opened her front door, she was a little taken aback, not only by the sizes of the agents and the official nature of the visit, but also by their questions and demeanor after she welcomed them inside.

The S.S. agents told Kirstie that they were investigating her daughter’s role in setting up a MySpace Web page. In particular, they were troubled because the Web page included the creation of art that the agents felt was extremely threatening to the life of the President of the United States.

With movies like Loose Change or Painful Deceptions out there, how many of you sincerly feel that the Goverment of our country either action or inaction allowed the attacks of 9/11 to happen?
(Personaly I rate these movies as well thought out conspiracies, I for one trust the Goverment and experts, at least this time.)

I let my license get suspended for the 2nd time. The first time it was suspended for letting my insurance lapse on a financed car.

This time, it was due to several tickets that I didn't get a chance to pay yet. ($450 worth). Will there be a warrant out for my arrest, or any other reprocussion, or can I just pay them when I get the cash?

Hillary Clinton gets elected President and is spending her first night in the White House.

The ghost of George Washington appears, and Hillary says, "How can I best serve my country?"

Washington says, "Never tell a lie,"

Ouch! Says Hillary, I don't know about that.

The next night, the ghost of Thomas Jefferson appears...Hillary says, "How can I best serve my country?"

Jefferson says, "Listen to the people,"

Ho! I really don't want to do that.

On the third night, the ghost of Abe Lincoln appears...Hillary says, "How can I best serve my country?"

Lincoln says, "Go to the theater."

Does anyone know if you apply for dual citizenship, will you loose your US Pension? My mom has her US Citizenship and has retired to our homeland. But she's thinking of getting a dual citizenship so that she doesn't have to travel back and forth to U.S. once a year. For it's a law that you cannot stay more than 1 year if your not a citizen of that country.
