the people who pay the tax.
The very poor don't have much so they can't pay much.
The very rich have tax attorneys and accountants to figure out new loopholes and to take advantage of the old loopholes.
The middle class pay lots of taxes.

The tax payers are all Americans who earn an income. And the more you make the more you pay. But then that idea goes to hell when a Republican takes office, because the tax credits are aimed at the wealthy. So the lower income Americans get stuck with paying for everything. And big business gets a break also, where is the fairness in that?

The tax payers are people who send in their federal and state taxes every year in April. People who pay income tax, sales tax, property tax, etc.
However, if the current trend of "no new taxes" and lowering taxes continues, you'll find that eventually there will be no public services because those services are funded by tax money. In Canada we pay higher taxes, but we also have access to numerous public services (such as health care for all, regardless of income), and we enjoy a higher quality of living than a lot of people in the States. I know, because I used to live there. I'd rather pay higher taxes and know that if my child gets sick, I won't be bankrupted or have to sell my home to keep the credit agencies off my back.

everyone .
Look at it this way - Let say in the US some company did not out source to a foreign country and made pencils. He purchases lead, wood, paint, brass & a eraser. he buys these supplies from other vendors who made a profit and they paid taxes. Part of his cost made a profit and he too paid taxes. The stationary store made a profit and some 5 year old kid purchased a pencil. Now this kid made no income buty he pays sales tax. If we think clearly we pay close to 80% in taxes. Does this 80% include permits at the store location. Does social security payments count. Does the numerous taxes on the store's phone bill count (or the factories phone bill)why even the trucker who delivered the pencils to the store pays fees, tolls, parkingtickets, speeding tickets all this crap is another word for tax

Tax payers are anyone who has a job and pays income taxes, buys goods and pays sales tax(consumers), or owns a home and pays property taxes. Our taxes fund the government...local, state, and federal.

Taxpayers are the ones who have to pay off the 8.5 trillion dollar debt our country has acquired in the past 6 years. Taxpayers and the people who pay into Social Security. Unless its more of the same from this President and Congress then our children will have to pay for it.
