me and my kids dad don't have any established visitation. he has made no attempt to see them in the last two yrs, now he since they take child support out of his check he wants to see them. he lives four hrs away. and he gets up and moves whenever he feels like it so i don't want to send them that far away from me. i don't get all the child support i'm supposed to get so i can't afford to take them to see him. do i even have to let him see them? i am now married to a great guy that the kids love and call him dad becouse he's the only dad they have known. he is the one who has been supporting them.

Should we make it a condition of gaining American citizenship that every Mexican National be required to turn in to the Immigration & Customs Enforcement, at least 25 of their known Illegal fellows? We get good law abiding citizens & the illegals get deported. Sounds like a win win situation to me. What do you think? II

The oil companies are running a campaign of fear of rising gas prices with their opposition of the proposition 87 that's on the Nov. ballot. For example they are saying that nothing is required of the people in charge of the funds from prop. 87 to do anything. However, there is scientific proof that we need to put a stop to being so dependent on foreign oil. In Manhattan for example, they have developed wind mills that is responsible for at least 25% of the energy used which greatly contributes to less polution being released into the atmosphere. Why can't we as Californians do many of the same things such as developing solar and wind technologies that will help the atmosphere and cause us to have less dependency on oil. We need to start somewhere and Proposition 87 is a place to start rather than be complacent and do nothing simply because the oil companies say that it will cause high gas prices. That position is false should be dismissed. Yes on prop. 87 = energy freedom now

There is an ballot measure in my state's upcoming election to do this, and there seems to be much ranting and little rationality on the subject. So, what good and what harm could come from this?

Through his surrogate, Citgo Gas is advertising it's plan to help the poor and downtroddin in the US with cheap heating oil and other incentives. I see Citgo gas, on a daily basis, at an average of $ .15 per gallon higher than it's closer competitor. That tells me, that it's not Hugo subsidizing the poor, it's the motorists who are paying for this.
All this free speach argument aside, do you think Hugo Ducky Chavez should be allowed to spread his anti-Americanism right here under our noses, and should we be boycotting radio stations that allow Citgo and Hugo to advertise?

While Democrats have no plans or views on debatable issues they claim to care so much about, they can use Hastert as a punching bag until the election is over.

According to news stories, the deployment of a major "strike group" of ships is prepared to head for Iran's western coast. The ships include the nuclear aircraft carrier Eisenhower as well as a cruiser, destroyer, frigate, submarine escort and supply ship. Naval forces already received their formal PTDOs ('prepare to deploy orders') with a date set for being ready to go at October 1st.
