I think they need to have their wages garnished. If there not working and living at home with Mommy, or using some other means to free load, then they should spend from 5PM to 8AM and all week ends in jail. The free time should be spent looking for employment. Of course once working they should be released.

Abusive men not only don't go to jail.. they are able to to gain custody of the children they abused in over 70 % of the cases in which they as for it. According to a report by the American Judges association. In several California Counties where they conducted a study,, In 91 % of divorces where there was sexual abuse claimed the abusive male was able to get custody of the children. They not only DONT go to jail. they are able to victimize and terrorize theier families and children, when they try to leave them, and tell the truth about abuse that these men perpetrated against their families.. WHY do so many women staY? hmmm I wonder. The chances of murder are larger when A woman attempts to leave and shortly after she has left an abusive man... It is a well known fact.

Depends on what you mean by no good dads. Abusive fathers/husbands yes. Dead beat dads who do not pay child support should have their wages garnished. If they don't work at all, they should be made to pick up trash along the highways and the money goes to the kids. (Same with mothers, after all you fair is fair)

Hard to garnish wages as many who don't pay also change jobs often so you can't!

They eventually get arrested!

I never understood how a person can think that their new family comes first, leaving their old one in the lurch!

They need to be sentenced to remain at a job and their pay garnished! If they leave, they go to jail for contempt!

I rather like the idea of public flogging my self,

My ex who has seen his daughter ONCE in 17 years thinks he is a great dad and just can not see why she does not want to visit, write or have anything to do with him...................this is NOT where I have run him down this is where she is not blind or stupid but rather had been able to see for her self that the CS checks have not come for many many years..............

Oh his reason for not sending them......cos I MIGHT spend them on going out.....................

I hate jails, I hate fines, but town floggings on the other hand is the only fair and quick form of punishment. .

No I think the women who were stupid enough to agreed to marry them and bare them children should have to go to jail with their dead beat husbands, be put in the same cell and drive each other crazy for the duration of their sentence and their kids should be put up for adoption because their mother & father are both fools and shouldn't be allowed to have children.

You also can't lump all "deadbeat dads" into one category. Yes, there are some who are trying to get away with murder when it comes to supporting their children but there are others who are trying their hardest to do so and just can't get the money together. These situations need to be fairly analyzed on a case-by-case basis and judged appropriately instead of having one "solution" applied to all of them.

even though i hate deadbeat dads, i dont see the going to jail thing as right..it is a removal of there rights as a citizen..takes away due process, and is the same as debtors prizon..the same as if you default on a car loan and get put in jail for non payment..this is another left wing stupid move that they have stripped the rights from thousands of caring fathers..funny how the only dads that pay support are the ones who actualy are involved in there childrens lives..last i checked i think it was 90%..so by putting a dad in jail on the surface seems right, the constitutional raping they did to get this passed is sad..
