Well looking at his record, Tricky Dicky looks like an angel.

For years, scholars have generally agreed that the most ineffectual and worst president in history was James Buchanan in the 1800's. It took over 150 years, but James finally has company down at the bottom of the heap. If Bush isn't THE worst, he is surely the second worst. Personally, I'd rank him below Buchanan.

For me, he was in a virtual dead heat with Carter, but has pulled ahead in recent weeks because of the hateful rhetoric against Democrats (or anyone else that doesn't agree with him) -- stopping just short of accusing them of treason. As incompetent as Carter was, he was never the stubborn battle-axe that Bush is now.
I'd say he's in the discussion with James Buchanan (Southern Secession), Andrew Johnson (Reconstruction), and Herbert Hoover (the Great Depression). His mishandling of the public trust in the wake of 9/11 ranks right up there.

Maybe. I don't think he is THE worst. But, maybe if their was a short list of 5 to 10 of the worst Presidents, he'd be on it. Top 5, I'm not so sure, I'd have to do some reading. Top 10, definitely.

He will get the wrap for it unless Iraq ends positively. Look at Lincoln, people in his time viewed the Civil War similar to Iraq. The south did not view it as great but now he is viewed as one of the greatest presidents in history. If something really positive comes out of Iraq then Bush will be also someday.

No, he's not even close.
You have to give Carter a lot of credit, given that he destroyed the possibility of stability in the Middle East by undercutting the Shah. Most of the problems that Bush is dealing with started there.
Carter also is the one that destroyed the CIA, which is why Bush is less able to deal with some of them than he should and would be.
He also managed to do it while making a total shambles of the Economy, so he was equally bad at foreign and domestic matters.

He is not only one of the worst he is the worst, since I've been living. Anyone who thinks otherwise has to be either a campaign supporter, works for the oil company, hasn't got a son or daughter in Iraq, and just wants to backup someone who has proven he can't lead.

Far from it. The giants of that class are mostly democrats like Carter and Clinton and good old Johnson. They managed to drag this country down and permitted third rate powers to embarrass us. It too Republicans like Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan and the Bush's to make things better. Sure the world does not always agree with what was done but that is because the majority of countries have become pacifist and that is why the terrorist and radicals get so much attention.

Why is it when Conservatives get criticized they play the blame game? Let's blame Carter, and Clinton and whoever. Bush is one of the worst presidents in my book. Only because he and his party will not accept responsibility for their actions. The spin never stops. The lies never stop. The out of control spending never stops. The lack of respect for the American public never stops. Wake up people!!!!!

Double digit inflation, unemployment, long gas lines, a depleted and demoralized military, friendly countries falling to mad dictators, hostages rotting in Iran for over a year. This was under Jimmy Carter's Administration, the worst president this country has ever seen!

That is a matter of research and opinion. Research the presidents and you'll see some of their major accomplishments and downfalls, and then compare those to that of George W. Bush, and decide for yourself.
