Less than a quarter of our population actually vote in an election that can have a massive effect on their lives.
However, if you want the halfwits to decide who should be voted out of the big brother house or who is the best or worst singer on Pop Idol, they are quite happy to spend the time and money in doing so.
Should we therefore be allowed to vote in a general election by text? It can easily be done using a unique code for each voter.
Do we really want these people voting in general elections?
What is the reason that this method of voting in general elections has not yet been introduced? Are the main parties scared of what might happen if it were?

"I'm certain, if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled, 'Bin Laden Determined To Attack Inside the United States' he would have taken it more seriously than history suggests it was taken by our current president and his national security team."

WHEN-

a presidential daily brief sent to president Bill Clinton December 4, 1998, just about three years before bin Laden attacked on 9/11:

"Bin Laden and his allies are preparing attacks in the U.S., including aircraft hijacking..."

Will Hillary now make a public apology for misleading the people as to the mistaken facts of her comment? Is she trying to rewrite history?

I made the STUPID mistake of buying my ex bf a motorcycle, that was 3 years ago. It was put on a credit card so the title is clear & is in my name.

Hes been making payments this whole time, but he should be paying me more than he is just to get it paid off. The minimum payment is only $39 but the most he has ever given me is $150. He doesnt have anything else to pay for.

ANYWAYS, Im thinking about selling it. Even though its not hurting my credit, it is a large balance & does effect my debt/income ratio.
If I have a signed agreement that states he has been & will continue paying until it is paid off & that the debt is soleley his responsibility could I hold him responsible to pay the difference. What I can sell it for is definitely not going to be enough to pay it off.

Serious answers only please & dont remind me how stupid I was to do that....I ALREADY KNOW :o)

I have encountered far more Liberal Hypocrisy than can be related here in this space. But I was wondering about others experiences with Liberal Hypocrisy. This is one example of mine:

Ever notice how when it comes to parental abortion notification laws, liberals are adamantly opposed? They say a 14 year old girl is mature enough to make a huge life descision like this without her parents guidance. Yet take military recruiting, where liberals argue that "They're sending our 'kids' off to war" as if it's a draft and there is no free choices involved. They want to remove military recruiters from schools because, they argure, an 18 year old (legally, an adult) just isn't mature enough to make a descision like that. Convienent isn't it, how their tune changes? Utter hypocrisy? You betcha!

Universal franchise was one of the greatest achievements of society but do you think that this has allowed people who are ignorant or limited in their ability to understand the legislative process and the nature of government and politics to hold too much of a sway over who gets into power? Do you think that people who lack the critical faculties to discern what is opinion from fact in the media and then make their own mind up should be allowed to exercise the same rights are those who do make a considered choice in who to vote for? Has this created a fascistic society where the ignorant minority, who hold the swing votes, impose their will upon the intelligent and articulate majority?
