It is worn the same on the Army as it is in the Marines. 1/2" from the edge of the shoulder, on the epaulette, centered. With the bars running front to back, NOT from the shoulder to your neck.

Officer ranks are always worn on both shoulders.

I believe it is worn on the epaulets, but I'm not sure. Getting senile I guess.

ask someone in your unit. on my hubbys i goes on the left shoulder but he only wears on patch since hes navy ask someone in your unit
