More accurately; Liberals are all heart and no brain and Conservatives are all wallets no heart OR brain.

I try not to buy into generalities too far but that one has some truth.

Will Rogers said, "I don't belong to any organized political party. I'm a Democrat.". I always loved that line because I think the truth in it is that most Democrats support anyone that is trying to do what is right for the country at large without as much regard for his/her method.

I think the other side of the coin is also somewhat true, the Republicans strive to keep everyone repeating the same message until it sounds true.

Obviously, the two parties are not black and white. There are good people and good ideas on both side of the aisle (as well as bad people and bad ideas). But, that is my assessment of the comment in USA Today.

I would agree that some Democrats are clueless and some Republicans are shameless, but not all.

clueless and shameless could apply to some on both sides, generalizing about anything whether it's ppl or political parties is a very dangerous thing to do...USA today is not known for it's fair reporting, they have an agenda and a bias against certain groups and beliefs so i would take whatever they or any other news agency (cnn, msnbc, fox) says with a grain of salt and do my own research.

Haven't read the article so I don't know in what context these were referencing.

However, I do think that both sides are playing politics and not working with the best interest of our country in mind. I'd like to start over with a clean slate...get rid of everybody that is currently in office or that is in the spotlight with political ambitions. Get rid of the party system. Reboot.

That's SO TRUE!

The Republican party has changed a lot in the last few decades and does some pretty underhanded stuff. Democrat party, though.... doesn't use it. Democrats could learn some from the Republicans and visa versa.

I agree with it.

It's tough to feel shame for doing the right thing.
