I mean think about it...

1. uninsured emergencies: hospitals can't turn people away in emergencies... the people can't pay for it because they don't have the money for insurance even... then our prices go up because hospitals have to increase prices for procedures to make up for it...

2. Medicaid/medicare... if you pay taxes, you're already paying for many people's healthcare through this...

I mean my health insurance is a TON more than any tax increase would be to fund a social healthcare program... everyone would end up saving money...

it just seems like we cut out big business and inflated prices when social medicine comes into play...

and I don't want to hear about "quality," unless you have personal experiences or know someone personally... I've talked to many folks that say for 90 percent of procedures, it's the same wait you would have in the U.S.... I mean if you have a popular doctor, it usually takes a few days to get in to see him unless it's an emergency....

When soldiers are on deployment they are serving us. I help through soldiersangels.org, sending letters and care packages, but I think when they return it is our responsibility , our turn to serve them, I feel like we're failing them, the adjustment must be brutal, any ideas?

if you feel you have the evidence to back it?

I deleated this question once, because after re-reading it, I felt that a clever person could figure out more than I wished them to. So, just the bare bones of the question... Submit the report or submit to BOHICA?

The police are beginning to have an us vs. them mentality. So if you're not a cop you're the dreaded them.

What can we do to stop this.

Tuck our tail between our legs? Revolt? What?

You know that the police are going to use the blue shield and never prosecute the officer. They will probably award him a medal of honor for bravery.

He will probably receive a promotion. Should citizens carry guns and blast the cop for doing this.

Any psycho who pulls guns on children should be shot whether they are a civilian or a police officer.

If a good cop saw some psycho pull a gun on a 7 year old the cop would probably shoot them dead.

So if a good civilian sees a bad cop pulling a gun on a 7 year old shouldn't the good civilian shoot the psycho cop dead?

It seems logical doesn't it. Otherwise the cop will never be punished. He will have no deterrent against these abhorent acts.

It's like a wild animal once they go bad the game wardens kill them to protect society.

Once a cop has gone bad they become an extreme danger to society and fellow officers protect these monsters.

as per my knowledge how abraham lincon put it" is a government for the people, of the people, by the people."is america doing rightby:-
the way it is supporting president musharaf's military rule.
the way it has tried to topple government chosen by people in venezuela.
opposing hamas led government of palestine.
hezbollah government in lebanon.
do america know it better than people of those countries about who should rule them.
just because america feels that the government in these places is not good for american intrest, it has anyright to make the life of people of these countries miserable.should it not move from its destroy the world policies to create a beautiful world.
i request only those people should respond who have some valid point to put forward. not anyone with their crappy oneliners.
looking forward for a healthy debate.thank you all.

""After the next attack, when they find out that an employee was bribed by a terrorist or bribed by a spy, it's going to be too late," said Michael Maxwell, who headed up internal affairs at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the agency that adjudicates immigration applications.

In February, Maxwell resigned his job and sought whistleblower protection after he began complaining to Congress about what he describes as rampant corruption that's going unprobed.

Declining to publicly provide details, Maxwell told Congress about the case of an Iraqi-born U.S. citizen whose background indicated he'd been trained by "multiple foreign intelligence agencies" but nevertheless was hired by USCIS to review asylum applications. The employee has since resigned.

A milestone was passed today. As of today, Sept 22. 2006, more Americans have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq than died on September 11. About 90% of them died in Iraq. Less than 300 in Afghanistan.

So, now that more have died in the war than in the attack, do you feel safer? And do you feel as though continued loss of life is going to eventually solve the problem? Do we continue, or do we pull out?

I must admit my liberal fellow citizens were correct in their assesment that Bill O'Reilly is silly and ignorant. On Barbra Walters' interview of Mr. O tonight, he stated he thought Rumsfeld made mistake, Cheney is afraid of him, and Clinton was a good President.

Obviously a right leaning madman, completely un "fair and balanced". It's obvious he's lost it.
