That is the only reason it is wrong to kill people, according to this person. There is nothing about the absolute worth of the individual there. This person believes that an individual only has value in proportion to their contribution to some community. This person does not believe in individual worth, and by implication, individual rights or the implicit value of the individual. It is all about the hive.
So for someone who thinks that way, I suppose it is only natural for them to favor abortion. Individual life is meaningless. It only has meaning within the context of some kind of barbed-wire, Berlin-walled community. If you are of no value to the community, then you have no value, like a broken egg for your omelette.
