It is unfair for muslims to be allowed paid holiday leave to celebrate their religious festivals while we Christians are not allowed equal paid time off. Example in point: muslim teachers are allowed time off for several muslim holidays each year. While they are off, it is left for their Christian colleagues to cover their lessons. They do not make the time up and also take the Christian holidays off as well as regular recesses. This cannot be right.

I found a very interesting excerpt on the web about Al Franken's debate with Ann Coulter. His reflections and speech are remarkable. I just don't get why people are willing to even listen to Ann Coulter. She makes America look extremely bad. I posted Al Franken's reflections at the link below. Thanks. http://www.talkshowonmute.com/blog.html

The executor of my mother's estate (she died without a will) has comingled the estate funds with his personal accounts and not provided documentation/accounting of estate balances/payments. We have recently learned that some royalty checks have been cashed and pocketed (he says they were used to pay bills of the estate but the last bills were paid over a year and a half ago; these checks are from more recently than that). My sister and I have still not received any money from the estate, although we are sole beneficiaries on 2 accounts. We have hired an attorney but they seem to want to get it all settled and done with. We want to know what can happen to the executor for his misconduct? The attorney the executor has hired is trying to take the blame for most of it - the judge ruling on the probate has admonished them in court and threatened to remove the exeucutor but at this time that would seem pointless; she died in May of 2004? We are frustrated with the whole situation!

We are in Iraq, we are in Afghanistan.

I believe in our work wholeheartedly in Afghanistan. I believe we have delivered a swift blow to Terrorists and I think occupation will keep them from making a come back.

Iraq is another story. We did what we needed to do, found WMD, and took out a few terrorist camps. Now what?

I understand that the country is on it's knees now and needs assistance, but every time their governamen takes a step forward, insurgance attacks step up. So a supportive presence is almost required.

What would be the best course of action in you opinion? Stay and assist in Iraqs stand up or let them fall and burn?

If we let them fall and burn, what about Afghanistan? Insurgance would surely move to attack troops there shortly after a pull out of Iraq.

What would be a win/win situation?

I hear people over and over again making a distinction between pro-choice and pro-abortion. But is it a distinction without a difference?

The use of the word "choice" is a euphemism to conceal the fact that they are only concerned with one choice in particular. They aren't concerned with the range of other choices like adoption. In fact, they frequently block legislation intended to make adoption easier. So are they really pro-choice when they want to foreclose the choice of adoption while making their favored "choice" easier? Doesn't sound all that pro-choice anymore does it?

And just like they use the word "choice" to conceal what it is they want people to choose, they seem to think that in any given scenario, every possible choice should be available, no matter how unethical.

This "outrage" over the popes quoting of an Islamic historical figure is interesting to me. Most of the worlds biggest problems are radical extremists of Islam. Where is the outrage of the Islamic people against those who behead their opponents and eagerly kill innocent people just because they are of another faith. When is the world going to tell the Islamist to shape up and take care of their own back yard and stop worrying about everyone else for a change?

why does the government prohibit murder? If not a moral basis, then on what other basis does the government punish citizens who commit murder?

You could say the same for other things too: kidnapping, rape, theft, etc.

If these prohibitions are not grounded in morality, then what?

For years now it seems I cannot turn around without some punk shooting people then shooting themself. Shouldn't we recruit these people to perform sucide attacks on terrorists like the terrorists do to us? Give these kids designer glasses, nice coats a decent weapon or bomb and tell them to go "jihad" on the terrorists.

10 years ago our fed govt averaged about 15,000 arrests of illegals at jobsites per year. In 2004, just 159 arrests. Also, border apprehensions are down 30%, even though attempted crossings are up.

If these extremists did not seem scary before, the world better start paying attention. Why the extreme hypersensitivity? Extremists are just looking for another reason to foment rebellion.

I looked on CNN and other news places and don't find out anything on North Korea, last I read on CNN was they tested WEAPONS OF MASS destruction and Bush said we will do something if you dont stop. Then kim jong said... If the usa shows any form of agress even mild , we are ready to fight back.... then nothing happened... no news... did the usa wimp out?

I mean this was a perfect time to test the true power of the USA against a nation that had the means to fight back.. instead of fighting nations that can only fight with rocks.

I wanna see the USA fight a REAL war aginst people who can fight back with the same type of weapons we bomb poor 3rd world nations with.
