I looked on CNN and other news places and don't find out anything on North Korea, last I read on CNN was they tested WEAPONS OF MASS destruction and Bush said we will do something if you dont stop. Then kim jong said... If the usa shows any form of agress even mild , we are ready to fight back.... then nothing happened... no news... did the usa wimp out?

I mean this was a perfect time to test the true power of the USA against a nation that had the means to fight back.. instead of fighting nations that can only fight with rocks.

I wanna see the USA fight a REAL war aginst people who can fight back with the same type of weapons we bomb poor 3rd world nations with.

Well the USA is technically still at war with North Korea, actually. They only signed an armistice back in 1953; the North Koreans did not and never have signed any document of surrender.

Here's the link to the free BBC website that covers this:

I admire your stance on this, because if you want to see a REAL war I am sure it means you are also willing to do your duty and volunteer to go and fight in it and protect my grandchildren -- weapons of mass destruction or not.

I really hope my grandchildren will be like you when you grow up.

holy cow,, surely not,,,, N. Korea selling nukes to Iran is what concerns me,, it seems more everyday that other nations are banning together to oppose the Bush Doctrine,, I wish more Americans would do the same thing,, because it seems obvious that the presidents foreign policies are not in the best interest of the USA,, Bush is a bully,, Kim Jong il is dangerous, so is Ahmadinejad,, why would any sane person not want to ,,, "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer",,, instead of taunting these less than stable individuals,, Bush wants war,, that much is true,, but he is not smart enough to win a war..........
I do not often disagree with coragryph, but I think the Iranian People are Persian not Islamic......

It's not as exciting or dramatic as the conflict with Iran, so it's not center stage. We know North Korea has the bomb, so there is no international intrigue about whether they are lying or not.

And they are not an Islamic country, so we don't get to play up the whole "islami-fascist" "war on terror" song and dance.

So, except for the few days when they are actually test-firing rockets, there is nothing sexy or newsworthy about the issue.

They are still trying to get Kim Jong Il to agree to talks with a group of countries, but the man is truly an eccentric and he doens't feel like playing fair.

I guess the focus groups that the Repukes are running show that there can be more "terra" raised in the US population by focusing on the Middle East. Although the Russian arsenal is MUCH diminished, it far exceeds anything that the Dumbya "terraists" have. We just have learned sane dialog with them.

Chairman Mini-Mao is still hacked off because Iran has squeezed his little butt off of the front pages and tv screens. I look for him to actually test one of his bombs soon so he can glory again in the incredible delusion that he is an important world leader and his bankrupt starving little dung patch of a country is worth more than a bucket of warm spit.

They'll start flogging that horse again after November, I expect. Right now, it's too important for the Bush administration to bolster support for its supporters, and its war, and that purpose is best served by demonizing Muslim countries.

No we didn't wimp out, it's just the media is focused on other things right now. You can tell what is happening in the media just by the questions on this site. The media is directing this show.
