At the moment I'd guess President Bush. Kofi Annan is essentially just a hologram of a leader.
However, regardless of religious affiliation, the Pope generally gets a large amount of attention. Especially Pope John Paul II. He was without a doubt the most influential man of recent time.

The Pope would be the most listened to & influential. He
has opened up a dialogue on Islamic rules which very few
can claim to do so.

Jackie Chan is more talked about & more famous & more liked by everyone in the world including kids.i don't know whether he is influential but present day youth are influenced by him.

i would say baba ramdev, he is at present gaining the name and fame globaly, he is famous all over the world. &
secondly i would say suresh shrimali, he is astrologer and have got name and fame globaly.
i know this are not big names thats the reason i am saying most talked and influential at present are these people, even though being not that famous.

President Bush! he is most talked about. He remains in news always for his good or bad actions. His actions are always such that - as if he is the only entity in the world who can decide the fate of the world.
