What about destabilization of our economy. If the Arabs could cut off our supply of oil, wouldn't that do far worse damage than any suicide bomber could ever hope to achieve?
How could all these security measures, electronic surveilance, baggage screening, bomb detection, ect. prevent the financial ruin of this country?
Is this really a war on terrorism or a battle for control of the oil?

I can think of five family members and friends off the top of my head who are on some sort of public assistance, such as WIC and/or Social Security. Every one of them supports G.W Bush and proudly displays their "W" bumperstickers on their old, beat up cars. Why are some people so morbidly stupid that they can't understand that if G.W had his way, they wouldn't recieve any public assistance?

I know there is some kinda legal term you can use in court that makes the person charging you have to turn all evidence over to you or your lawyer if you have one. It starts with a "d." Any idea what it is or how it works? I'm in canada if that makes a difference

In April 2005 my boyfriend was arrested for violation of probation. At that time he was asked the usual questions do you have any drugs or weapons we should be aware of? He was honest he said yes I have about a dime sack of dope on me. He then of course was taken to the County Jail, he was booked for his warrant & now another charge for the drugs. He then went to court & sentenced to 365 days in County at that time they bonded him for $20.000 while he was in jail for the drugs found. He did his 365 days. In March 2006 we were pulled over while taking some friends home. We had a good idea that they were going to jail they both had warrants .My boyfriend has not been in any kind of
trouble doing very well. Much to our surprise he was arrested for a warrant. Found out it was for the possesion charge that they bonded him for. He was going to be recharged but Pub. Def. finally listened & researched it. They let him out early he did 220 days So now he has to do 90 more. UNFAIR!!!

Consider:

SHIRAZY-DOO
Why are the majority of 30 year olds in college liberals?
Is it because they don't want to grow up and face the real world. I was liberal for a short time in my life. Then the acid wore off.
Additional Details
I went to college and most of the 30 somethings I met there were liberals.

1-If they are in college, they are probably trying to face the real world.
2-If you've even taken acid you are probably prone to make such
generalizations. It's called an inablity to think.

Liberal beats Facist.
Let's not kid ourselvres here. This question is same screwball teeth nashing hateful conservative attitude that acused Democrats of "oppressing the masses" with "programs'.Even most blacks are embarrased by that kind of psudo-conservtaive black eccentricity.

I believe the question shows how far the conservatives have to go in treating people like human beings, and a LOT to learn if they ever want to try to deceive people into actually buying into their poison.

would the people who are against gay marriage (because marriage should be between man and women) be accepting and vote yes for Domestic Partnership (all the rights two people should have as a couple, reguardless of sex, but without it being called marriage) ???

Basically, this is all that is wanted... basic rights. The idea of marriage, at least in name, seems to be the thing people object to.

So... if we call it something differant, like Domestic Partnership, would that be good enough for the people that are threatened by gay marriage, to vote yes to give equal rights to all Americans?

And to the gay/lesbian folks, would calling it something different, but getting what you want, be acceptable?

*** Keep in mind domestic partnership is already an option for straight couples, who do not wish to be married, yet want all the rights and benifits of marriage, for whatever reason, such as the decision to take thier partner off of life support (Living Will) and inheritance
