Well, it is your knowledge and involvement when it comes to election day. Do you vote? You should. The person(s) who get elected into office are the ones who for the next 2,4, or 6 years will be making laws, passing budgets and creating policies that affect us in varying details. They will (or will not) pass laws related to immigration, social security, the environment, minimum wage, health care, food stamps, homeland security, military programs etc. etc. If enough people are not satisfied with an incumbent office holder, that person can be voted out. If you don't really vote, you really have to right to complain.
