If it is real property (real estate or minerals) it will be of record at the court clerks office in the county where the property is located. The county clerks office is located in the county court house. The county courthouse is in the town seat of that county.

Don't get confused and go to the court clerks office. you want the county clerks office.

Records in the county clerks office go all the way back to patent when the property was owned by the United States

State, City, Town or Country Recording Clerk will have that information. It is used to assign taxes on the property.
