Why is that when two hispanic people talk amonst themselves in English and all of a sudden decides to speak spanish when someone enters the room that doesnt speak Spanish? Is it that youre talking about that person and youre too coward to confront them in english? I would love your feedback.

BTW, I really could care less if you were talking about me if I were in that situation. It just means youre a p-u-s-s-y and youre not man or woman enough to confront me in english!

My friend and I are in college and we want to join in the reserves for now. We are going to go to basic training thru the summer and do the split option-where you go to basic during the summer then school for the year then the AIT the following summer. After we get our bachelors degree can we go into officer training? or would we have to re-enlist? and if not would it be hard to get into that? Plus I want to hear some boot camp stories. I want to prepare myself. I already know what I need to do physically. But I also want to be mentally prepared.

One view: "We can set the minimum legal wage to be whatever we want it to be! We don't have to stop at $8, or $10, or so. We could mandate something that guarantees a certain standard of living at 40 hours/week, perhaps $25/hr.

The trick is, though, that while we can set the minimum wage, what we can't set is the minimum value of an hour's worth of work. We can't control the return a business gets on the investment of hiring an employee (paying the wages, paying the unfriendly-to-job-creation payroll taxes, following the countless laws and regulations on employers).

So the problem should be immediately visible: If we set the minimum wage at a certain point, then all jobs whose value is below that value get destroyed. Instead of raising wages for the minimum-wage people, you kick them out of work.

What the hell? About two minutes, watching NBC, I learned that not only has Bush stated there has been no connection discovered between 9/11 and Iraq, but V.P. Dick Cheney reaffirmed the same thing on Meet the Press. Am I the only one that is upset and confused? Can the Bush Administration lead us into a war into the wrong country and then say a few years later there was no connection?

Sorry if I'm not speaking as eloquently as I could, but I had to get this out as soon as possible.

i'm a seventeen year old girl, and i'm trying to decide if i should go to the air force after high school or just go to college. i'm pretty athletic, i run cross country, and i really want to do it. the one thing that makes me not want to do it is that i heard you can't wear contact lens and must wear glasses. but i just want to see other's people's opinion of the difficultly of basic training.

My sister-in-law was born in California. Her mom, here temporarily on a work permit, returned home with her when she was still a baby. She's 17 now, has graduated and wants to leave her country of El Salvador to come to the states. How can she get her U.S.birth certificate? Her mom doesn't remember the name of the hospital. She thinks it might be UCLA Women's Hospital, or something like that. Is there a way to search for a birth certificate with only the birthdate and city (L.A.) known?

The operation was called 'Operation Northwoods', it was a plan to generate public support for military action against cuba. The plan were to hijack planes and detonate bombs in USA and Cuba and blame it on Fidel Castro. I admit at the time it was a good idea to get rid of Castro as his regime was violent and brutal. However is it justified for themselves to kill thousands of US citizens? and then blame it on Castro? Just to generate support for what they wanted. Please US citizens tell me how you feel that the people who you voted in and is their job to protect you are planning to kill citizens to make people believe what they want.
