Non-veterans can answer also, but be nice. This is going to sound mean, but hear me out please.
It seems that many veterans of recent wars Vietnam, Korea and later, have psychological problems after war. Gulf-war syndrome, PTS etc, are common. Why is it the wars before that such as WW2 and WW1, the veterans don't seem to have this problem? Do they just not talk about it? Did the psychiatric field advance that much? Most seem proud to have killed Nazi's and the like. I know in more recent wars, many of the fighting was against civilians also, does this cause the mental trauma?
Thoughts and opinions if this made sense, and be nice please.

Native american reservations casinos only pay taxes to the national government and not to the states since reservations are "sovereign". California politicians believe native casinos should pay taxes to the state. Indeed, some tribes do give the state taxes. On what basis do you think tribes should pay taxes?

Some clubs etc say they will confiscate your drinks ect or take your camera etc. It is reasonable to ask you to leave and call police if youdon't but taking your property must be theft

How many of us has read the pledge "India is my country, All Indians are my brothers and sisters......." after leaving our schools?
How many of us know it by heart?
How many of us really sing the national anthem (Jana Gana Mana) from their heart - not as a mere ritual?
How many of us know the meaning of national anthem?
How many of us participate in the Independence day or Republic day celebrations with a real spirit of nationalism and not as a mere ritual?
How many of us treat these national days as special and how many of us treat these days just as any other holiday?
The count of these "How many" is very less indeed, in fact NEGLIGIBLE.
So why such a hue and cry on singing or not singing of Vante Matram??????????

It is not unusual to hear the argument that the Constitution has been made much more democratic since its initial ratification in 1789. What evidence would you point to that indicates that the Constitution has become more democratic, say in the last 100 years? Are there key ways in which the Constitution continues not to be democratic?

History repeats iself. The forefathers of our government were giving Indians articles of clothing (etc.) shot through with measles, mumps, and other diseases meant to kill them. Before that it was the possession of every continent but Asia. The govt. has been caught red-handed doing such things as putting syphillis in Los Angeles' drinking water (population control among minorities), injecting the blac Tuskegee Airmen with syphillis to test its uses for the public, etc. They said there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when Afghanis supposedly hit the towers (when the terrorists were mostly from Saudi Arabia, America's friends), and so young American men and women are fighting the battles of old men with deviant agenda. Does the general population's need for self-preservation REALLY compel us to turn a blind eye to the obvious truths in hopes of making something of our lives? Let's face facts now so we and our kids can have something more and REAL: a life LIVED unfettered.

Thomas Jefferson? Mahatma Ghandi, JFK, or Martin Luther King? Winston Churchill, John Lennon?

Maybe you'd pick Ghangis Kahn, Stalin or Richard Nixon.

If you could choose anybody to lead our country into the future starting next term who would it be and why?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing. I'm just wondering. If Canada had a problem with another country, you know damn well the U.S. would be there to lend a helping hand. But when the U.S. has a problem with another country(War in Iraq) where is Canada? Why should they even be considered an ally if they are not even helping?(Mind you a neighboring country to the U.S.(RIGHT ABOVE US)) Like I said, I'm not criticizing, just out of curiosity.

Now the bush fully admids to secret prisons abroad for holding key suspects in the war on terror, and using "alternative" interrogation. His denial is offically a lie, why does the president get away with lying to the public and is never held accountable?

how often do you help them steal SS# so that way they don't have to waste their time doing it because, they work these long hrs and they don't have time to do it theirselves?
do you go to their house every day to make sure they have enough food for all 30 of them that are living under one roof?

Do we have to let these ppl in even when we know we aren't abusing our children? If we let them in,does it mean they have total control of our home? Does it mean we are guilty if we let them in? It seems that our neighbors got a kick out of seeing social services at our doors and out of seeing me upset at these ppl coming to our home. Do we abosolutely have to let them in? or will they think we are hiding something? Whatever happened to our right to privacy?

George W seems like no other politican I have ever seen.

All the other Presidents that I have seen come and go (not a lot I am not that old) have had apparent moral limits .... places they would not go lines they would not cross Bush seems to have none.
"Clandestine flights into Europe taking people to countries that allow torture" Camps in Cuba and elsewhere that are secret and may or may not allow torture. Faulty inteligence for a war and attack (9/11) that he may or may not have been warned about before hand. Fighting the Geneva convention - there is more but you already have heard it all anyway.

So back to the question does Bush scare you?

Will there be a time in the US where opposeing the government will be an act of terror and you go missing in the night? And when I say oppose I mean disagree or disbelieve not anything more radical than that.
