The price of oil has remained the same. Foreign concerns regarding oil are worse than ever and we just went through the Labor Day holiday. Prices almost always go up on a holiday weekend, but over the Labor Day holiday they went down in my area from an average of $2.97 to $2.49. With only two months left until midterm elections, do you think the oil companies are trying to influence the election to keep Republicans in power by lowering gas prices right before the election? It would probably be in their best financial interest to. Over the past two years gas has gone up from $1.55 in my area to $2.97. It has averaged a steady gain of 5 cents per month. It has kept that steady gain till now. The price of oil has gone up about 20-25% over 2 years, but the price of gas has almost doubled. Something seems fishy to me.

I keep hearing people make the argument that illegal immigrants have more rights than legal resident aliens or citizens. I'm curious exactly what rights people think they have that others don't.

Clearly not any of the rights reserved in Article IV or the 14th Amendment for citizens. Clearly not any of the protections from the 1st, 4th, 5th or 6th Amendment, which apply to everyone.

So, exactly what rights do Illegal Immigrants have that legal residents do not?

The United States: Most powerful military in the world. Now, The Insurgents...... ( Also known as Freedom Fighters) They are a rag tag group of men with basic weapons, little or no money but a will to fight for their beliefs. The question is this. How can that rag tag group of men with basic weapons put the hurt on the all powerful USA military? We (USA) spend Billions per month on the war and they ( Insurgents ) spend a few dollars here and there "BUT" are beating the USA military's butt day in and day out. The USA military is getting their rear ends handed to them everyday. How can this be? Do I hear an echo saying "Vietnam" is here again?

Don’t get me wrong, I have absolutely no problem with legal immigration into the United States. All of my ancestors came here that way. I just don’t understand why anyone would want to live here and refuse to learn English. And if they are going to refuse, then why should I have to pay for it. If you are unable to read a legal document, a ballot, or anything else written in English, then hire a translator at YOUR expense. And don’t say I’m trying to take away your culture, because I’m not. Please feel free to publish newspapers in your language, and celebrate your traditions and holidays at your cost. The cultural diversity of this country is one of its great strengths. Speak whatever language you choose with your friends and relatives. Speaking more than one language gives you an ADVANTAGE in life, not a disadvantage. It just shouldn’t have to come out of the American tax payers wallet.

It's not because of the leftist or libs, as some of you claim. The truth is there are very few leftists in American politics.

The real reasons why it looks like, according to most of the recent polls, the Republican Party is going to have major losses in the upcoming elections is because of the public backlash against our government and our president going too far to the right.

Most Americans, Republican and Democrat, are neither far right or far left.

So all this right wing bs is only pushing voters away from your own party. Keep it up, my friends, and there may be a landslide.

The US is currently being silently invaded by those whom decided to step on US soil illegally and TRY to demand citizen rights. The uncivilized & unwelcomed are breaking laws and hurting those who actually belong here or how about taking down the american flag ... how do you justify that? What do you think will be the ultimate outcome? There are groups forming that are inpatient with laws and those who uphold them which will soon take harsh courses of action against those whom are illegal (which has already started underground). A reason why this chaos SHOULD NOT be invited. See link: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=51746 Any good reason for this sort of behavior? I find this disturbing. What are your views? Those who back the illegals, do you think this was necessary? Although there is a large number of illegal immigrants, there are a hundred times as many citizens ... how far do you think they'll take this? Will blood be shed?
