Absolutely no surprise. The Rebublicans don't want to rock the boat with those folks who like illegal immigrant labor and Democrats are too doggone cowardly to take the risk of losing the "legal" Latino vote in this country.

So I guess the end result of these spineless behavior of our Congress and Senate is that illegal Mexican immigrants actually have more influence on our government that those of us who are here legally and pay taxes.

And guess what ...they didn't even have to hire lobbyists to buy off the schmoes. That's a pretty good deal.

Does this really surprise anybody? This is the hottest issue of the day. Unfortunately for Congress I don't think they can reasonably put it aside no matter how hard they try. The issue is heating up again with new protests beginning to occur. Since the illegals cannot quietly wait until after November when they might actually get what they want, they are going to force the issue to be a ballot box hotbed. To be seen as doing nothing about this issue come November will ultimately be worse then having taken it up and made the wrong decision. It just proves once again that Congress is completely out of touch with what is happening in everyday America.

To answer your specific question. Yes it is a disappointment to me. I have written my State Representative and my Senators to advise them just how important it is to me. I have also informed one of my Senators that because of specific stances they have taken on this issue that after years of supporting them I can no longer vote for them in good conscious. I suggest everyone do the same if this issue is important to you.

Like being said by everyone else 'yes'. Although, elections are coming up so a lot of studying and deciding is going to be brought upon us americans whom are voting and electing those that do not know how to take the right course of action OUT. I hate having to vote but I do not like those who like to **** and shout but do nothing when the time comes to put your foot forward. Anyway, If you read my most current question, there are lots of things that are going on, and if it isn't taken care of the situation will get a lot worse. The 'immigrants' as well as those who oppose them will get even more violent. I am ANTI illegal immigrant but I do not support those who use violence to shove their view upon others like these 'extremists' forming underground groups against what they call 'border hoppers' or 'fobs.' Hope it doesn't get out of hand while the issue is burning in the back.

The bill is a disappointment and the members of congress know that if it passes, anyone who voted for it will have a lot to answer for on election day....delaying the vote until after the election buys most of these guys another 2 yrs min.

The American public has not put this issue on the back burner. As a matter of fact I saw Rep. James Sensenbrenner speaking on the topic last night on Lou Dobbs. He was making his point that the senate plan would be far to costly to America, and he is right.

Its expected with the election coming up its a divisive issue where repubs and democrats each support each others views whether there for or against. There is no clear side on this issue so politicians put it on the back burner till after the election.

so that you're making use of your racists links again and NO! I do teach human beings on a daily basis on the actual data of illegals and their disadvantages, their diseases and the quantity of money our authorities is throwing away on those undeserving invaders. There you pass again with the jobs lie. I have executed those jobs in the previous and comprehend a good type of authentic those who nevertheless do. there are a good type of blue collar workers in the States that do those type of jobs. Calling them complicated workers does no longer help your argument after we see the authentic data both. and that i locate it a real unpatriotic insult to call the yank Legion racists. Why because those veterans who busted their a**es to guard yours do no longer consider allowing those disrespecting illegals invade our u . s .. Who should comprehend more effective about such issues than a soldier who has considered what can take position to a u . s . even as human beings like this invade.

a disappointment? no it's to be expected. it's an issue that the republicans don't want to face because they know it's going to take a long time to resolve. so they have to find another issue that can be easily fixed to try to fool voters into 4 more years of the same crap we've had to put up with for the past 8
