It is simply a stupid mindless gesture, and should have no effect on a normal thinking person. That piece of cloth does not embody the American spirit, it is only cloth, but the ideas of America are beyond that. Why did they do it?...because they were angry with some policy? Hardly a reason but then it is hardly a reason for you to do anything about it. We go through this nonsense with almost every generation and those generations are usually young people filled with discontent at being impotent to change their lives, so they strike out with token gestures...in itself a waste of a flag but it cools their passions and often brings shame to them when they reconsider their acts. Doing anything only enforces their belief that they are correct and escalates the matter.

None of the above.....the people infront of me would already have taken the same action I would take....slow down and comment on what the world is coming to, and if possible I'd call some authorities for people lighting a fire in a public place....

nothing, it is none of your business. Unless, they are releasing dangerous toxins into the air by burning the flag which an unsuspecting spotted owl might breath, causing its death along with further contributing to global warming. In the case of the latter we should look for a legislative means of banning the flame producing item that contributed to the burning of the flag and then hold the manufacturers of that flame producing item legally and financially responsible for the careless act of burning the flag, the spotted owl and global warming.

Laugh.

The flag represents our government. Which I agree needs to be changed drastically right now. The people who are making the decisions are ******* us over for profit.

F) Find out what they are protesting about. It isnt' a crime to burn the flag and flag burning should only be used to protest against some stupid thing we Americans are doing.

Also, we are allowed to burn the flag if the flag is too old and worn out.
