she is charge of son 33.he gets ss on father's acct.he is mentally challeged.son will not be going with mother after she marries.he will stay with another son.

yes she will lose it ,, he will not,,

why does she want to marry,, live together, same difference and no problems with SS, the government will screw ya if given the chance

Then she wont get the money. I believe it is the person who has legal guardianship over the son. If she does then she should continue to get funds until there are no more, as the funds were meant for the son in the first place. I do not believe marriage interferes with social security (I believe it only interferes with alimony). To be safe though I would call the social security office to check...

if the s.s. is going to the son and not her...the son should still receive it...if the son (god forbid) passed away and she was not re-married ,then when she retires she would get whoever s.s. is greater,being hers or her late husbands.....she should check with s.s. ad. just to be sure....but it should stay with the son since he is disabled
