Truthfully, how hard is it compared to "hearsay" and what you see in the movies? Please, only those who have actually been to Parris Island within the last 10 years respond.
I'm considering joining while I still can. I'm 28, in average shape but working out and running daily (1 mile run). I've been told I need to be able to run 3 miles non-stop before shipping off. Any truth to this? Also, how much harder would it be for an older guy like me compared to the 18-19 year olds? Any advice, stories, or motivational tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

first the cop tail gated me.. it was about 5 a.m and he did it on a huge open road with three lanes. i got soo nervous that i pulled in to a gas station and i hit the curb divider thingy a little.. (the ones that are low to the ground) and he put his lights on saying that the only reason i was going the speed limit is because i saw him!! then he acted like he was doing me a favor for not giving me a reckless driving ticket!! i went to court and they played me out there too. im one Bitter B**%!
who else has bad experiences like this one??

No one knows how tough it is to run a household and survive like a military spouse...
Single parents KNOW they have no option...but a military spouse of a deployed service person has a better half...that is away indefinately...
How do you keep going, what do you tell yourself that helps you hold out and survive the tough times?

It would be so much more beneficial to the country at large if undeclared money was used to generate wealth for the nation. The setting up of industry, creating employment instead of paying vast sums as bribe to IT officers to reduce the tax structure or even maintaining a useless Income Tax Dept.

Couple of days back Baluch leader Mr. Nawab was assasinated by the Pakistani Army for not obliging certain recent dictatorial orders that was conveyed to him by the Military rulers. The government calls it as a seperation movement and the Baluchis call this as freedom movement.

I have been the victum of the pulaski county sheriffs office in which that obsconded with nine of my atv's , there seems to be no record of my property even after all charges were droped againt me. the run around is unreal. however i have names and know where my wheeelers went. Okay, here's the scenario. My mother got an injunction placed against a guy that I like because she felt like he was stalking me when that wasn't the case at all. However, because I am a minor, I have absolutely no say in what happened, and the outcome was that an injuncion was placed, and he's not allowed to be near me. If I come near him, he has to leave.
Now, I'm living on my own, but I'm still 17, and my birthday isn't until the end of March. I want to get rid of the injunction. My mother no longer has custody of me.
Can I get rid of the injunction? WIthout going to court? HOW?!
