Wow...good question. I've never voted for a democrat for those reasons, among others. Don't know the answer to this. But I tend to think no, lots of people vote democrat just because that's how their parents raised them, they don't have a clue what they support.

It is questions like this that get the 'christian' sector a bad name. If god is this all seeing, all powerful force, then god does not need to judge. It is only religious leaders who get a hold of a concept e.g 'gay marriage', 'abortion' and impose their own outdated and impersonal views on the subject and justify bigotry behind 'the word of god', which in fact is an insult to god. Think about all the death, pain and suffering religious folk have brought about by imposing their views on others and refusing to budge an inch. Those are facts, those are events and consequences that shape our lives today. Think about what you're saying........

I recommend you to study biography of Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu who forbidden abortion in Romania. You will see the consequences of that law and how this law actually destroy his leadership. Romania is an example for every country which will try to forbid abortions.
