To have answers we must ask questions.Who creates wars without care about what a war brings? Which politician has sent their children to war, while justifying it for all sorts of reasons. What should the electorate do when the people we elect to represent us , dont but work for different agendas...like fame, money, popularity and more...what do we do..its a universal question for the whole world.Hitler didnt care people were dying including his soldiers like Lyndon Johnson in Vietnam. Both say they were winning-but the body bags dont lie..isnt there another way?

We elect leaders and its not like tossing a coin...life and death are choices..right..unless there is divine intervention if you have the Lord with you or if you are an aetheist that "fat luck"..but in this case its a matter of choice.

Of course a country must defend itself but that country must ask itself the question as to "why should someone want to attack the most powerful nation in the world"...are they stupid and want to die.Consider countries like people and apply the same test and then also consider one thing..if you are meek as biblically and push to the wall you will say vengenge is the Lords , but Christians are not doing that, then why and how can we blame other religions and the poor who want to chnage their governements and cannot because of US interest in keeping dictators in the middle east without democracy. Are they human beings too who have values for their families....look at Egypt. Saudi Arabia, Libya and others supported by the USA so that the politician can saty in power and oil prices will be good in the USA ( look at history..not now). But why should an innocent soldier die for the politician who is to work for US??? My 10Cents thoughts...of course I may be wrong!

The questions you ask are the same ones being asked by many families who loved and lost someone in this war. Cindy Sheehan asked Bush face to face and for that she has been ostracized many times over. She continues to fight for the right to know daily. All she wants to know is why. There are no simple answers.

Is there another way? Yes, of course. It's called diplomacy (or world peace). That's why the United Nations was created. The problem is, with power comes corruption. And greed.

Wars create money. That's the bottom line. My college History teacher said it well. We never go to war unless there's something in it for us. Meaning of course, the country as a whole. This administration is quite different. Every single top administration official has become richer in this war. There is much documentation if you get on the right site.

I was like you. Wanting answers. Quite by accident, I came across a site that makes me mistrust my Govt more daily. That took me to a site that said the US economy is going to crash. (How can it not?) We owe billions of dollars in interest alone to more foreign countries than you can imagine. Including Iran! You'll never get the answers you seek listening to the 5 o'clock news. You guessed it! The media is owned by the Govt. They have the power (and money) to destroy a persons credibility, as well as their reputation. Try this web site for a good start in your quest for the truth. Enjoy...www.worldnetdaily.com....Be careful what you wish for!!

Sometimes people don't realize how much freedom they have until you see the opposite. I was at a 54-40 concert, and they had mentioned doing a show, where people were so oppressed, that the concert goers where not allowed to cheer. This is the result of over baring dictators, that don't allow freedom of speech. You ask why we go to war? It is for this very reason. On another note, people don't sign up for the military based on who is in power... The ones in the military are there because they realize that there are things out there that go bump in the night. You and I don't see, or hear much of them because they are controlling the issues that need to be addressed. I agree 100% that war is not pretty, but it does happen, and it is very hard to prevent. There are 1000's of different ideals, beliefs, and politics a person can choose. Multiply that by the amount of people out there, and the possibilities are vast. There is always going to be conflict. All you can do is be as understanding to those who differ from you...

B.T.W. Honour any lost ones to war... They laid down their life for millions to live freely. They fought to up hold what our fore fathers fought for. Without their bravery, we would not be living in the world we know.

The answer is fairly simple, whether or not it wants to be heard or said. The person to blame is the soldier, and for these reasons. The soldier is a volunteer, maybe not for that particular war or event, but ultimately he/she made the decision to join the military. For whatever the reason may have been nobody put a gun to their head and told them to join. As a soldier myself and having been to both theaters of war I still reflect as to why I joined.

You really should not blame anyone. I work on a military base and have many military friends and have seen them go away to war, some come back and some don't, but the ones that died...died doing what they wanted to do. You should mourn them, but nobody is really to blame. I've known several soldiers who have been wounded and can't wait to go back...they are doing what they want to do and living the life they want. We should give huge kudos to our military soldiers! And stop saying how awful they are.

You have asked a question that you can only understand if you understand what it means to be an American.

Instead of trying to blame someone, get some counseling and honor your loved one by being proud of his/her service to his/her country.

There have always been wars. There will always BE wars. In those wars, people die. We can only hope our loved ones are not the ones who have to die.

My condolences.

A soldier makes a decision to defend and / or fight for his country. So if you want to get right to the core of your question, it is with the soldier who made the choice to enlist in military service.

Naturally, the death of any soldier is a tragedy, but you don't join an army for the fun of it. Soliders are prepared to die for their countries.

I assume your talking about someone you know who Volunteered.
He volunteered to do the highest honor that can bestowed to his fellow citizens of America, at the behest of the President, who was duly elected, and fullfilling the will of the people.
As unpopular as it appears to be, your loved one thought there was reason enough, and felt safe enough.

I've done my time in the service, as a veteran I sympathize with you, and grieve for an american soldier laid to rest by the enemy of the United States who killed him. For that I thank him posthumously.

If he was killed in war, blame the enemy.

A country has a right to defend itself and those who die in its defense should be honored.
