No. At least one person has to be 25 years or older with a valid CA drivers license for the first 12 months the 18 year old has a license.

"During the first 12 months after you are licensed, you cannot drive between 11 pm and 5:00 am and you cannot transport passengers under age 20 unless you are accompanied by your parent or guardian, a licensed driver 25 years of age or older, or a licensed or certified driving instructor."

California has some new laws on this topic. Persons under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or other person specified by law when:

-Transporting passengers under 20 years of age, at any time for the first twelve months; or.
Driving between the hours of 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM for the first twelve months.

These restrictions expire on your 18th birthday or after 12 months, whichever comes first. An 18-year-old can drive a 14-year-old around.

if the driver has had their license for a year or is over 18 they can drive anyone at ony time. so basically if the driver got their license on their 16 birthday they can legally drive someone(of any age) at 17. trust me! this law has ruined the first year of my driving life, i know it very well!

if the driver is 16 or hasn't had their license for a year they are allowed to drive with a 21 year old if everybody in the car is over 18. if there are minors there has to be a 25 year old present.

AT 18 YOU ARE OF AGE TO BE DRIVING. IT DEPENDS WHAT THE 14 AND 18 YEAR OLD WERE DOING IN THE CAR. IT SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM IF THE PARENT OF THE 14 YEAR OLD HAS KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR CHILD'S WHEREABOUTS. AT 14 THE SUBJECT IS STILL A MINOR AND UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE PARENTS. ITS ALL ON THE PARENTS.

Yes. The 18 year-old is not a minor. All of those rules about clock time and length of time with the license apply to minor.

An 18-year old is an adult and she can drive around anyone she wants.

Do you mean to imply that an 18-year old mother cannot drive her child(ren) anywhere?

I dont think so. I believe that you have to be with a driver at least over 25. For more info, see http://www.ca.gov and click on DMV

nicely the regulation in Washington is once you first get your license, you could purely force with blood-appropriate kinfolk for like the 1st six months. in spite of the shown fact that this is be not likely that'd you get pulled over except you velocity lots, so i might say decide for it.
