Why i ask is me and my friend pulled up to alight and decided to race each other at about midnight and when we finished the next thing we knew was two cops were pulling us both over, so if i go fight the ticket do you think i will get a lesser fine because they were not visible at all. Also im gonna call the police station in the morning and find out where exactly the car was parked to see if it was hidden or not.

Your question and the way you state it suggests only one sensible thing for you to do. Sign up for a court date, plead not guilty, tell the court that although everything you were cited for is true, it's not fair that you never saw the police before mashing down on the gas and racing towards an imaginary finish line. Hopefully the judge is a street racing enthusiast himself and even tries out his own family car on a neighborhood street on some nights, will understand your plight.

I don't think so I have heard that in order to pull you over that they have to have on some form of lights on (parking lights or head lights) while they are like hid in the bushes or whatever. They can't just hide somewhere in the dark and wait for you.

They're allowed to hide so that they can catch dumba$$es who are doing things that they shouldn't be doing.
